  • Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Smacks 22nd homer

Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Sunday.

It was Blackmon's first extra-base hit since his last homer on July 31. He currently leads the National League with 86 runs scored despite his disappointing .276 average across 453 at-bats.

  • Brandon Belt DH | TOR

Giants' Brandon Belt: Expects to return Tuesday

Belt (knee) is likely to be activated off the disabled list for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Belt is currently on a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento as he returns from a bone bruise. The veteran first baseman will avoid Dodgers' ace Clayton Kershaw, who is set to take the mound Monday. Belt was slashing .278/.372/.470 with 14 home runs prior to landing on the disabled list.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Sits again Sunday

Pederson is not in the lineup for Sunday's series finale at Colorado, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Pederson finds himself out of the lineup for the second straight game and fourth time in the last six games. The 26-year-old could find playing time hard to come by this week as the Dodgers could face left-handed starters in five of their next six contests.

  • Justin Turner DH | CHC

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Receives breather Sunday

Turner is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale at Colorado, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Turner has a modest six-game hit streak (.417/.481/.583) but will get a day off Sunday. Manny Machado shifts to third base with Chris Taylor at shortstop for the Dodgers.

  • Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT

Cardinals' Marcell Ozuna: Laces second three-bagger of season

Ozuna went 2-for-5 with an RBI triple and a run in a win over the Royals on Saturday.

Ozuna's second-inning three-bagger was his second of the season, and he's now hit safely in five of the last six games. The outfielder seems to have rediscovered his stroke at the plate after generating a lackluster .210 average in July, as Saturday's production pushed his August average to .317 (13-for-41) over his first 10 games of the month.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Out of lineup Saturday

Pederson is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Pederson will take a seat against Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland on Saturday. Enrique Hernandez will start in center field and bat fourth for the Dodgers.

  • Giants' Andrew McCutchen: Homers, walks four times

McCutchen went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two RBI, two runs and four walks in the Giants' 13-10 victory over the Pirates on Friday.

McCutchen had been in an 0-for-10 skid coming into the game but he was able to emphatically break out of it, getting on base in five of his seven plate appearances including his 13th long ball. The homer was nice, but the four free passes were probably the most impressive part of this stat line, as they brought the veteran's on-base percentage all the way up to .360 on the season. On the whole, his numbers aren't quite up to par with what he put up back in his All-Star days, but McCutchen is still having a fine offensive season after a slow start, with a .781 OPS, 13 homers and 25 doubles to his name through 420 at-bats.

  • Matt Carpenter DH | STL

Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Stays hot with 32nd homer

Carpenter went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run to help the Cardinals to a 7-0 win over the Royals on Friday.

There seems to be no end in sight for Carpenter's ridiculous tear, as this marked his third straight game with a long ball and his sixth time leaving the yard in his last seven games. It might seem improbable given how slowly he started the season, but the 32-year-old is now boasting an MVP-caliber .280/.391/.600 slash line to go along with 32 homers through 403 at-bats.

  • Brandon Belt DH | TOR

Giants' Brandon Belt: Set to start rehab assignment

Belt (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Belt has been out since late July with a knee bruise. He should be back with the Giants after a short rehab assignment, likely returning sometime during the upcoming series against the Dodgers, which begins Monday.

  • Bryce Harper DH | PHI

Nationals' Bryce Harper: Back in Friday's lineup

Harper (lower leg) is batting fourth and starting in center field against the Cubs on Friday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Harper was scratched from Thursday's lineup as he dealt with a swollen lower right leg from a hit by pitch Wednesday, although he was available to come of the bench, if needed. The 25-year-old underwent X-rays -- which came back negative -- and should be no worse for wear in Chicago this weekend.
