Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Cardinals' Marcell Ozuna: Stellar while playing full game
Ozuna (finger) went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, five RBI, a walk and two runs overall in Triple-A Memphis' win over Albuquerque on Thursday while playing all nine innings in left field.
The batting line sums up the type of night it was at the plate for Ozuna, but arguably of equal importance was the fact he made it through a full game in the field. The Cardinals had previously said they'd reevaluate Ozuna's status following Thursday's contest, and it seems the veteran outfielder made a convincing case to be activated in short order.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Returns to outfield
Pederson will go back to the outfield going forward, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Pederson will head back to the outfield after committing six errors in his 20 games at first base this year. The 27-year-old carries a slash line of .233/.327/.498 with 23 home runs this year, although his impact is somewhat limited since he typically only starts against right-handers.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Out against lefty
Pederson is not in the lineup Thursday against the Padres.
Pederson will retreat to the bench for Thursday's series opener with left-hander Joey Lucchesi starting for the Padres. In his place, Tyler White is starting at first base and hitting fifth.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Reds' Jesse Winker: Sits vs. southpaw
Winker is not starting Thursday against the Braves.
Winker has started the past three games, going 7-for-12 (.583) with a homer and five runs scored, but he'll head to the bench for Thursday's series opener with lefty Max Fried starting for Atlanta. In his place, Aristides Aquino is starting in right field and hitting sixth.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Shelved with oblique strain
Dickerson was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a right oblique strain, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
The Giants had previously termed the issue that prevented Dickerson from playing Wednesday against the Phillies as a side issue, but an MRI provided more clarity on the injury. While the extent of the oblique injury isn't fully known, even Grade 1 strains can sideline players for more than 10 days, so Dickerson won't necessarily be in line for a minimum-length stay on the IL. The setback is disappointing for a player who was instrumental to the Giants' climb up the wild-card standings in recent weeks, as Dickerson had submitted a 1.222 OPS in his 30 games with the club.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Cardinals' Marcell Ozuna: Plays field again
Ozuna (finger) went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run in Triple-A Memphis' win over Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Ozuna played five innings in left field for the second consecutive game and apparently emerged without setbacks. The fact he's been able to play back-to-back contests in the field and log five total plate appearances absent any grip issues with the bat certainly bodes well for a possible weekend return.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Receives MRI for side issue
Dickerson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a side injury and underwent an MRI, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The results of Dickerson's MRI are not yet known, but a trip to the injured list is apparently being considered. Austin Slater, Tyler Austin and the newly acquired Scooter Gennett could all see increased outfield chances if a trip to the shelf is necessary.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Scratched from lineup
Dickerson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Phillies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
The reason behind Dickerson's removal from the lineup is not yet known. Austin Slater is starting in the outfield in his place.

Seth Beer DH | PIT
Diamondbacks' Seth Beer: Dealt to Arizona
Beer was traded from the Astros to the Diamondbacks along with Corbin Martin, J.B. Bukauskas and Josh Rojas in exchange for Zack Greinke, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
On the one hand, Beer was blocked in Houston, so it's good to get him out of there, but on the other hand, he is best suited as a designated hitter in the American League, and now he will need to show he can hit enough to justify placement in an outfield corner. Beer is hitting .299/.407/.543 with 16 home runs in 280 plate appearances at Double-A. He has major upside in batting average, on-base percentage and home runs.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Gets breather
Turner is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Turner will take a seat on the bench for Wednesday's series finale after starting the past 11 games and slashing .231/.375/.590 with four home runs and a 9:7 BB:K during that stretch. In his place, Max Muncy is starting at the hot corner and hitting second.
