Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Sitting for evening game
Harper will sit for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader in Washington, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Harper went 1-for-4 in the day's first game. The loss in that contest eliminated the Phillies from playoff contention, so Harper won't be asked to play two games in one day in what's now a lost season.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Cardinals' Marcell Ozuna: On base four times in win
Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks and a run in a win over the Diamondbacks on Monday.
Ozuna didn't partake in the Cardinals' four-homer barrage, but he made more than his fair share of contributions. Ozuna had gone just 1-for-23 over the six games prior to Monday and is still hitting a miserable .148 (12-for-81) in September even when factoring in Monday's breakout. However, with eight of his 12 hits during the month going for extra bases (three doubles, five home runs), Ozuna has managed to compile a solid 11 RBI.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Phillies' Brad Miller: Not starting Monday
Miller is not in the lineup Monday against Washington.
Miller hits the bench after starting four straight games in left field. Jose Pirela starts there Monday with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound for the Nationals.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Resting Sunday
Blackmon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
Blackmon takes a seat in what likely amounts to routine maintenance following a string of seven straight starts. During that stretch, Blackmon went 8-for-25 with three home runs, three walks, a double and five RBI. Sam Hilliard replaces Blackmon in right field.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Not part of Sunday's lineup
Dickerson is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.
Dickerson started in left field the last two times the Giants faced right-handed starters, but the team is facing a left-hander Sunday for the third time in four games, and Joey Rickard has gotten the start in left in all three of those instances.

Brandon Belt DH | TOR
Giants' Brandon Belt: Held out against lefty
Belt is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.
The Giants will take on left-hander Dallas Keuchel on Sunday, so as has been the case all month, Belt will not be in the lineup with a southpaw on the mound for the opponent. Austin Slater will get the start at first base in Belt's place.
-
Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Third straight start
Carpenter is starting at third base Sunday for the third straight day.
Starts have been few and far between for Carpenter in September, but he has gotten a chance to see regular at-bats this weekend with Kolten Wong (hamstring) sidelined. Carpenter will play third base Sunday and hit sixth in the Cardinals' batting order.
-
Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Hitless in return
Turner (ankle) went 0-for-2 in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Rockies.
Turner was initially expected to get three at-bats Saturday, but the Dodgers shuffled their personnel to start the fourth inning and Turner's night was done. Manager Dave Roberts will likely take things carefully with the 34-year-old third baseman to avoid aggravating the injury. Turner is slashing .290/.370/.512 over 541 plate appearances this year.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Phillies' Brad Miller: Goes deep twice
Miller went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Saturday against the Indians.
Miller went deep in the fourth and ninth innings to give him eight home runs on the season. He's struggled to get regular at-bats for much of the campaign, though he has now started three consecutive games and collected at least one hit in each. For the season, Miller is hitting just .233/.313/.481 across 71 games.

Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Smacks 33rd homer
Harper went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run and four RBI against the Indians on Saturday.
Harper took Oliver Perez deep in the fifth inning for a three-run homer, his third home run in his last 10 games and 33rd overall this season. While his power production doesn't rank among the elite this season, Harper has still found plenty of areas to contribute, highlighted by 108 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 148 games.
