McCutchen went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk during Tuesday's 6-0 win over Washington.

The veteran outfielder came to the plate during the sixth inning with a pair of runners on base, and he launched a 410-foot shot to left to double the Phillies' 3-0 lead. McCutchen is 22-for-65 (.338 average) with five homers, three doubles, 18 RBI and three stolen bases in his last 15 games.

Cardinals' Brad Miller: Racks up seven RBI

Miller went 4-for-6 with two home runs, a double, seven RBI and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 16-2 win at Cincinnati.

It's the 30-year-old's second two-homer game of the season, and the seven RBI set a career-high mark. Miller finished a triple short of the cycle, with each of his four hits bringing home at least one run. Dodgers' Joc Pederson: On bench versus southpaw

Pederson is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

It's business as usual for Pederson, as he'll head to the bench with lefty Alex Young pitching for Arizona. Enrique Hernandez starts in left field Tuesday for Los Angeles.

  • Justin Turner DH | CHC

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Shifts to 10-day IL

Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hamstring strain, retroactive to Aug. 29.

Turner underwent a pre-game workout Tuesday to determine whether a trip to the injured list would be necessary, and he apparently needs more than a couple days before returning to full health. The 35-year-old doesn't have an official timeline for his return, but he'll be eligible to be activated Sept. 8. Edwin Rios (hamstring) was activated off the injured list in a corresponding move and will start at third base, though Enrique Hernandez, Chris Taylor and Max Muncy could all see time there during Turner's absence.

Dodgers' Justin Turner: May land on injured list

Turner (hamstring) will work out prior to Tuesday's game to determine whether he'll be able to return in a couple days or will require a trip to the injured list, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The 35-year-old hasn't seen game action since exiting Friday's contest with the hamstring issue. Regardless of the pre-game workout, Turner won't play in Tuesday's game and also seems unlikely to be available Wednesday, even if he avoids the injured list.

  • Mark Vientos DH | NYM

Mets' Mark Vientos: Joins roster pool

The Mets added Vientos to their 60-man roster pool Sunday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

A 2020 big-league debut won't be in the forecast for Vientos, who has yet to play above the Low-A level. That said, his inclusion in roster pool is an indication that he's one of the more valued lower-level prospects in the Mets' farm system. He'll report to the Mets' alternate training site to get regular at-bats in simulated games after the 2020 minor-league season was cancelled.

Reds' Jesse Winker: Serving one-game suspension

Winker is serving his one-game suspension Tuesday against the Cardinals, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Winker was appealing his suspension, but he'll elect to serve it against St. Louis on Tuesday, with left-hander Kwang-Hyun Kim starting for the Cardinals. He should be available Wednesday.

Reds' Jesse Winker: Sits against southpaw

Winker is not starting Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

Winker has a one-game suspension hanging over his head, stemming from an ejection Saturday, though he appealed the punishment and was in the lineup Monday. There has yet to be a report that he lost the appeal, so his day off Tuesday seems to be just be a routine one with a lefty (Kwang-Hyun Kim) starting for the Cardinals.

    Reds' Jesse Winker: Appealing suspension

Winker is appealing his one-game suspension that he received after being ejected from Saturday's nightcap and will start as the designated hitter Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Winker was the only player to receive a suspension for his role in Saturday's incident, but he'll still be available while he appeals. If the suspension is upheld, Aristedes Aquino could fill in as the designated hitter for a game.
