Goins will start at second base and bat seventh Sunday against the Cubs.

Goins has struggled, going 5-for-31 (.161) with nine strikeouts, since losing a nine-game hitting streak on Aug. 10. Although he's playing often, the infielder's .214/.266/.327 doesn't offer much fantasy appeal under any format.

Cabrera is batting just .235 in August, with a .179 mark away from Comerica Park.

It's been the veteran's worst month of the season so far, but Cabrera also struggled in July with a .237 average. Overall, it's been a subpar season by his lofty standards, as he's slashing just .256/.342/.409 with 13 home runs and 54 RBI. Cabrera had only 18 home runs and 76 RBI in an injury-shortened 2015 season, but outside of that, he's had at least 25 home runs and 100 RBI in every season of his 13-year career. While his final numbers will be down this year, Cabrera could provide fantasy owners a boost if he finishes with a hot streak over the final month of the season.

Miller is not in the lineup Saturday against the Mariners, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Manager Kevin Cash is loading up the Tampa Bay lineup with right-handed bats against southpaw Ariel Miranda, sending Miller to the bench following three straight starts. In his place, Daniel Robertson draws the assignment at the keystone.

Goins is not in the lineup against the Cubs on Saturday.

Goins will get the day off after starting the past two games following a forearm injury during Wednesday's contest. There hasn't appeared to be any indication that his forearm was bothering the infielder in any capacity -- tests revealed no structural damage -- but manager John Gibbons will give him a day off for Saturday's matinee. Darwin Barney will slide over to short while Rob Refsnyder gets a start at second.

Buxton went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and a solo home run Friday, scoring all three times he reached base in a 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

The homer, Buxton's eighth of the season, was an inside-the-park job that featured the fastest time of any player circling the bases (13.85 seconds) since Statcast began tracking in 2015. The center fielder is once again putting together a big finish to a campaign, slashing .345/.393/.582 with three home runs, five steals, 10 RBI and 12 runs through 17 games in August.

Buxton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Thursday's loss to Cleveland in the afternoon game of their doubleheader.

The center fielder also scored a run in the second game of day, and now sports a .234/.305/.334 slash line for the season. Until Buxton can cut down his strikeout percentage (29.5), it'll be difficult for him to live up to his potential. This could prove to be a buy-low opportunity, as he's still just 23 years old and owns the power-speed upside coveted in all fantasy settings.

Goins (forearm) will not miss any time after exiting Wednesday's contest, remaining in the lineup for the series finale against Tampa Bay on Thursday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Goins will start at shortstop and bat eighth just a day after getting spiked in his left forearm while attempting to steal a base during the sixth inning of Wednesday's game. His X-rays didn't reveal any structural damage, and manager John Gibbons elects to keep Goins in the lineup for the divisional contest.

Goins is being listed as day-to-day with a bruised left forearm after X-rays didn't reveal any broken bones, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

This is welcomed news for Goins, who was writhing in pain after getting spiked in Wednesday's game, forcing him to exit in the sixth inning. While he didn't rule out playing Thursday, the Blue Jays will wait and see how he's doing before making a decision. If he is forced to miss any action, Rob Refsnyder and Darwin Barney would likely hold down the middle of Toronto's infield.

Goins was prematurely lifted from Wednesday's game against the Rays with a forearm injury.

Goins was removed after he was spiked in the left forearm while attempting to steal second base in the sixth inning. The severity of the injury is unclear at this point, but he looked to be in serious pain as he walked off the field with a trainer. More should be known once he is further evaluated following the conclusion of Wednesday's contest. Darwin Barney moved over to shortstop to fill in for him, while Rob Refsnyder came on to play second base.

Vogelbach, 24, is hitting .324 with two home runs and 10 RBI over his last 10 games for Triple-A Tacoma.

The acquisition of Yonder Alonso from the Oakland Athletics all but assured that Vogelbach would be nothing more than a September call-up. However, both Alonso and Danny Valencia will be free agents after the season, so the possibility remains that Vogelbach could be vying for the starting job at first base heading into the 2018 campaign.
