Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Slugs 32nd homer
Stanton went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI in Friday's 8-3 win over the Red Sox.
He took Nathan Eovaldi deep in the third inning, giving the Yankees an early 6-0 lead. Stanton has been swinging a big bat down the stretch, slashing .292/.314/.708 over the last 12 games with six of his 32 homers on the year, and 14 of his 87 RBI.

Byron Buxton DH | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Powers Twins to win
Buxton went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 3-1 victory over Toronto on Friday.
Buxton took former teammate Jose Berrios deep to center field in the third inning for a two-run homer that proved to be the difference in the contest. The long ball extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which he is batting .346 (9-for-26) with five extra-base hits. Buxton is slashing .294/.342/.603 with 15 homers, 27 RBI and six stolen bases through 219 plate appearances on the season.

Nick Solak 1B | PIT
Rangers' Nick Solak: On base three times in win
Solak went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 8-5 win over Baltimore.
Solak's theft of second base in the ninth inning allowed Adolis Garcia to dart home for the last of five runs scored in the frame. It's been a middling September for Solak, who is batting .233 across 21 games this month. That's in line with his .238 average for the season, and he's added a meager .670 OPS with 11 home runs, 48 RBI, 54 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 122 contests.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Returns to lineup
Alvarez (soreness) is starting Friday's game against the Athletics, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Alvarez missed Thursday's series finale against the Angels due to "overall body soreness," but he's feeling better Friday. The 24-year-old will serve as the designated hitter and bat fourth.
-
Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Draws three more free passes
Ohtani went 0-for-1 with three walks, a run and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Astros.
Ohtani hasn't had much of a chance to swing the bat lately, as he has racked up seven walks in his past two games. Fortunately for fantasy managers in non-OBP formats who roster him, Ohtani's speed gives him fantasy value even when he isn't knocking the ball out of the park. The two-way star has doubled his career high with 24 thefts on the campaign, tied for eighth most in baseball.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Returns to lineup
Cabrera (back) will bat cleanup while serving as the designated hitter Friday against the Royals, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Cabrera exited Monday's game against the White Sox with back tightness. He was absent from Tuesday's lineup and the Tigers haven't played since then due to a rainout and a scheduled off day. Cabrera should be good to go for the final three series of the season, but his .709 OPS means he's unlikely to be a very exciting fantasy option.

Luis Torrens DH | NYM
Mariners' Luis Torrens: Homers as pinch hitter
Torrens hit a two-run home run in his only at-bat Thursday against the Athletics.
Torrens wasn't in the starting lineup Thursday, though he took advantage of his opportunity as a pinch hitter. He went yard against Jake Diekman in the sixth inning to record his 15th homer of the season. Prior to this long ball, Torrens had failed to go deep across his last 80 at-bats since Aug. 17. Overall the 25-year-old is hitting .236/.299/.431 across 345 plate appearances for the season.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Astros' Michael Brantley: Progress has slowed
Brantley's progress has slowed as he attempts to return from a knee injury, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
Brantley was eligible to return from the injured list Wednesday, but he was not ready to be activated. Manager Dusty Baker gave an update Thursday, telling reporters that Brantley had initially progressed rapidly but has recently "hit a lull in the action." Baker went on to state that Brantley's return would take longer than the team had initially hoped, though did not provide any specific timeline.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Not starting Thursday
Alvarez (soreness) isn't starting Thursday's game against the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Alvarez was replaced in the eighth inning of Wednesday's win over the Angels due to soreness, and he'll get a day to rest in Thursday's series finale. Whether he's available off the bench remains to be seen, but Kyle Tucker will serve as the designated hitter while Jose Siri starts in right field.
-
Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Takes seat for Game 2
Jimenez isn't starting the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against Cleveland, Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
Jimenez will rest after he went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Thursday's matinee. Adam Engel will start in left field and bat second.
