Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Ramirez joined in the Rays' offensive barrage Wednesday by delivering an RBI double in the second inning and later grounding into a fielder's choice to drive in a run. He endured a cold stretch in late May, but Ramirez now has at least one hit in five of his last six appearances. In that span, he also has five RBI and five runs scored with a stolen base. Overall, Ramirez is hitting .284/.324/.381 across 145 plate appearances on the season.

Choi went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Choi was in the lineup for the first time this season with a southpaw on the mound. Three of his at-bats came without the handedness advantage, but Choi delivered a knock on each occasion. It's doubtful that the performance will change Choi's role in the long term. However, he is riding an eight-game hitting streak while delivering eight RBI and six runs scored in the span. Overall, Choi is hitting .276/.368/.463 with four home runs, 27 RBI and 17 runs scored across 144 plate appearances.

Buxton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs in Wednesday's win over the Yankees.

Buxton singled and scored in the bottom of the fourth frame before launching a solo shot off Nestor Cortes in the following inning. The homer was his 13th of the season and second in his last four contests. The outfielder has notched at least one hit in nine of his last 11 contests, raising his average from .202 to .224 over that stretch while adding two homers, three RBI and six runs. After a very difficult first two months at the plate, Buxton could be turning a corner.

Reyes (hamstring) took batting practice on the field Wednesday prior to the Guardians' game against the Rangers, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Reyes looks to be progressing from the right hamstring injury that has kept him on the shelf since May 26, but the Guardians haven't yet offered up a target date for the 26-year-old's return to the lineup. According to Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal, the Guardians plan to meet with Reyes on Friday to decide his next steps, so more clarity on his situation could come over the weekend.

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Minnesota, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Carpenter started in six of his first eight games with the Yankees after signing with the team May 26, but he'll find himself on the bench for the fourth game in a row. The Yankees don't have an everyday role available for him now that Giancarlo Stanton and Josh Donaldson have recently returned from the injured list, so Carpenter will have to settle for the occasional spot start or pinch-hitting opportunity moving forward.

Lewis (concussion) has begun working on his conditioning by ramping up his heart rate on a stationary bike, but he remains without a firm return date, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The uptick in activity is encouraging considering he's been experiencing prolonged concussion symptoms. However, Lewis has yet to resume any baseball activities, a step he'll naturally have to complete before activation is considered. Lewis is scheduled to be reassessed when the Mariners return home for a weekend series against the Red Sox.

Stanton went 1-for-5 with one homer, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's victory over Minnesota.

Stanton hit home run number 12 in the first inning of Tuesday's game. It was his only offensive output of the game, but it helped the Yankees gain an early lead. Stanton was the designated hitter in the game, his third time serving in that role since returning from a stint on the IL for an ankle injury.

Jimenez (hamstring) started in left field and went 1-for-2 on Tuesday during a rehab appearance with Triple-A Charlotte.

Jimenez appeared in the outfield for the second time during his rehab stint. He exited early in the game in a move that was planned to help manage his workload as he continues to build his lower-body strength. Jimenez appears to be nearing activation -- he's accrued 19 plate appearances on his rehab assignment -- though a specific date has not yet been set.

Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and two runs in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Mariners.

Alvarez walked and scored in the fourth frame before later launching a two-run homer off Ryan Borucki in the bottom of the eighth inning. The long ball was his 17th of the year and third in his last five games. The 24-year-old has now notched at least one hit in eight of his last nine contests, going 16-for-34 with five homers, 11 RBI and 10 runs over that stretch. Alvarez is now batting .289 with 17 home runs, 36 RBI and 37 runs over 180 at-bats in 50 games this season.

Collins was called up by the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Collins appeared in 20 games earlier in the year, showing a bit of power but not much else, as he hit .194/.278/.387 while striking out 40.6 percent of the time. With Danny Jansen out with a broken hand, Collins will return to serve as Alejandro Kirk's backup behind the plate.
