Raleigh is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the A's.

Raleigh will get a break after starting seven straight games behind the plate. Luis Torrens will take Raleigh's place in Seattle's lineup.

Grandal will start at catcher and bat seventh in Monday's game in Washington, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Grandal was on the bench for each of the White Sox's last four games but will pick up a start Monday while top backstop Korey Lee gets a breather. Though Lee is off to a 3-for-46 (.065 average) start to his time with the White Sox, he could still get the bulk of the starts at catcher over Grandal for the final two weeks of the season while the non-contending club plays out the string.

McGuire is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

He'll give way to Connor Wong behind the dish as Boston opens a three-game set in Texas. McGuire and Wong have been splitting work at catcher in relatively equitable fashion thus far in September, with the former getting seven starts to the latter's 10. With a .154/.241/.231 slash line so far this month, McGuire hasn't made a compelling case to push for a larger share of the playing time.

Lee is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Lee did not record a hit over his last five games and owns just a .270 OPS at the big-league level this season, so he will get a day to clear his head after starting three of Chicago's last four contests. Yasmani Grandal will replace Lee behind the dish.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Miami.

Alvarez appears to be receiving a routine day off after he started behind the dish in the final two games of the Mets' weekend series with the Reds while going 3-for-10 with two doubles and three RBI. Omar Narvaez will get the starting nod at catcher Monday.

Fermin (finger) was transferred to the 60-day injured list from the 10-day IL on Monday.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for fellow catcher Tyler Cropley, whose contract was selected from Omaha. Fermin had already been ruled out for the season following surgery last week to repair a fractured left middle finger.

Perez was placed on the 7-day injured list Monday with a concussion.

The Royals said initially that Perez avoided a concussion when he was removed from Saturday's game versus the Astros following a foul tip to the mask. However, some symptoms must have cropped up since then, forcing Perez to the IL. Perez will be eligible for activation Sunday, but as is the case with all players recovering from concussions, it's difficult to project when he might be ready. With Freddy Fermin (finger) out for the season, the Royals are left with Logan Porter and Tyler Cropley as their available catchers.

Maile (hand) underwent X-rays Saturday which came back negative, MLB.com reports.

With the X-rays confirming Maile has nothing more serious than a bruised hand, the catcher was available Sunday but did not appear in an 8-4 loss to the Mets.

Fortes went 4-for-5 with a solo homer, two doubles and four runs scored in Sunday's win over Atlanta.

Fortes capped off his first career four-hit performance with a solo shot in the eighth inning. Prior to Sunday's massive game, he had just four hits over his previous 17 appearances. It was also his first multi-hit game since July 23. Fortes is now slashing .210/.265/.308 with 15 extra-base hits and 31 runs scored through 300 plate appearances.

Rutschman went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-4 victory over the Rays.

Rustchman cut Baltimore's deficit to 3-2 in the eighth inning with his 19th homer of the year, a solo shot off Pete Fairbanks. He added a second RBI with a base hit in the 10th before scoring the winning run in the 11th. It's Rustchman's first multi-hit game since Sept. 8 -- he'd been slumping a bit of late, going 4-for-29 (.138) over his previous eight games. Overall, the 25-year-old catcher is batting .270 with a .789 OPS, 79 runs scored and 73 RBI through 639 plate appearances this season.
