The Padres recalled Campusano from Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

Campusano has performed well with El Paso this season, slashing .322/.445/.598 with six home runs, 17 RBI and 21 runs over 110 plate appearances. He struggled in the majors last year, posting a .642 OPS over 299 plate appearances, but was much better in 2023, when he slashed .319/.356/.491 with seven long balls in 49 games. Campusano may not get much playing time behind the plate with the Padres given his defensive liabilities and since the team already has two other catchers -- veterans Elias Diaz and Martin Maldonado -- but he may also get an occasional turn at DH. To make room for Campusano on the roster, San Diego optioned Connor Joe to El Paso.

Naylor isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Naylor will get a chance to catch his breath Saturday after slugging three home runs over his last four games. Austin Hedges will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth.

Kirk isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Cleveland.

Kirk will get a day off Saturday after going 6-for-13 with a homer and four RBI across his last three games. Tyler Heineman will do the catching for Kevin Gausman instead while batting eighth.

Alvarez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

The Mets will give Alvarez a day off after he went 3-for-5 with three RBI during Friday's win. While he rests, Luis Torrens will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Quero isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Houston.

Quero will get a chance to rest Saturday after going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored Friday. Matt Thaiss will catch for Davis Martin and bat seventh.

Wong went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Friday's 6-1 win over Minnesota.

Wong spent nearly a month on the 10-day injured list with finger injury. While catcher is his primary position, Wong made six starts at first base in 2024 and could be an option there after Triston Casas left Friday's contest with a significant knee injury.

Alvarez went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Friday's 9-3 win over the Cardinals.

While none of the knocks went for extra bases, it was still a strong performance from Alvarez. The 23-year-old backstop is batting .269 (7-for-26) with a double, a homer and six RBI over six games since returning from surgery to repair a fractured hamate bone.

Quero went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored and two RBI against the Astros on Friday.

Quero has racked up 52 plate appearances since his debut April 17. He's maintained a .326 average with a very impressive 5:7 K:BB. Even in the White Sox's below-average lineup, Quero has also managed seven RBI and five runs scored while consistently hitting cleanup.

Kelly went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 10-0 win over the Brewers.

Kelly extended his hitting streak to four games, during which time he's gone 7-for-17 with a home run and four RBI. Overall, the veteran catcher has a scintillating .364 batting average and 1.318 OPS over 18 games. The strong play has allowed Kelly to move slightly ahead of Miguel Amaya when it comes to Chicago's pecking order behind the plate.

Naylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jays.

Naylor tied things up at 2-2 in the fourth inning, when he took Chris Bassitt deep to center field for a 410-foot solo homer. Naylor has struggled offensively this season and is slashing .192/.277/.425 in 84 plate appearances. However, he has homered in three consecutive starts, which may be an indication that the 25-year-old catcher is settling in at the plate.
