  • Joe Mack C | MIA

Marlins' Joe Mack: Swats 11th homer

Mack went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Mets.

The rookie catcher gave Sandy Alcantara and the Marlins' bullpen all the offense they would need in an eventual 2-0 win when he took Robert Stock deep in the fifth inning. Mack has gone yard four times in 14 games since the All-Star break, and through his first 215 big-league plate appearances he's produced a .245/.299/.449 slash line with 11 homers and 33 RBI.

  • Angels' Jacob Cozart: On move to Anaheim

The Angels acquired Cozart from the Guardians on Wednesday in exchange for outfielder Jo Adell, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

With Patrick Bailey, Austin Hedges and David Fry on hand as catching options at the big-league level and prospect Cooper Ingle lingering at Triple-A Columbus, the Guardians have dealt from their catching excess to address other needs on the roster ahead of the trade deadline. After moving Bo Naylor to the Brewers over the weekend, the Guardians will now send Cozart to the Angels, where he should have a higher standing on the organizational catching depth chart. Cozart, 23, is regarded as a glove-first prospect with a plus throwing arm. He lacks any standout tools as a hitter but had been a near-league-average producer at Double-A Akron this season with a .239/.330/.384 slash line (96 wRC+) to go with 10 home runs and one stolen base in 79 games.

  • Ben Rortvedt C | LAD

Dodgers' Ben Rortvedt: Heading back to L.A.

The Dodgers acquired Rortvedt from the Mets on Monday in exchange for right-hander Chayce McDermott, Aram Leighton of JustBaseball.com reports.

After finishing the 2025 season with the Dodgers and earning his first World Series ring, Rortvedt was claimed off waivers by the Mets in February and was outrighted off the 40-man roster shortly before Opening Day. Rortvedt has spent the 2026 campaign to date exclusively at Triple-A Syracuse, where he's produced a .233/.317/.411 slash line with six home runs and two stolen bases in 48 games. With the move back to Los Angeles, Rortvedt may not have to wait long for a call-up to the big leagues, especially if Dalton Rushing (arm) needs to join Will Smith (neck) on the injured list. The only healthy catcher on the Dodgers' active roster at the moment is Eliezer Alfonzo.

  • Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Heating up since break

Stephenson went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 10-2 win over Pittsburgh.

Stephenson cracked his third home run in 12 games since the All-Star break and has hit safely in five straight contests. After he posted a .238/.319/.361 slash line in the first half, the catcher is rocking a second-half line of .359/.468/.744. For the Reds, Stephenson is heating up at the right time. He's one of seven players on the club with an expiring contract and boosted his value leading up to Monday's trade deadline.

  • Guardians' Patrick Bailey: Blasts sixth home run Sunday

Bailey went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Bailey opened the scoring by taking Merrill Kelly deep for a solo shot in the third inning. Four of the catcher's six home runs this season have come over his last 15 games, though he's collected just 11 hits during that stretch. Through 76 games, Bailey is slashing .193/.247/.311 with six home runs, five doubles, one triple, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored and two stolen bases.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Belts three-run homer Sunday

Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Twins.

Raleigh crushed an elevated slider for a three-run homer to give the Mariners a 6-0 lead in the seventh inning. He has recorded at least one RBI in four straight games but has still struggled to find a rhythm at the plate, having not logged a multi-hit effort since June 7. Overall, the catcher is hitting .162/.266/.311 with 12 homers, 43 RBI, 26 runs and two stolen bases across 80 games.

  • Tigers' Eduardo Valencia: Drives in four

Valencia went 2-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Athletics.

Valencia has gone 9-for-19 with five extra-base hits and eight RBI over five contests since his recall from Triple-A Toledo on Monday. The catcher isn't guaranteed to get a ton of playing time behind Dillon Dingler, but Valencia is at least making a good case for himself. Over a couple of stints in the majors this season, the 26-year-old is batting .452 (14-for-31) with four home runs, three doubles, 11 RBI and nine runs scored across 11 games.

  • Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Scratched from lineup

Rushing was scratched from the lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Red Sox due to minor arm irritation.

Rushing was set to start behind the plate and bat ninth in the series finale, but he was pulled from the lineup just minutes before first pitch. Eliezer Alfonzo will start at catcher in place of Rushing, who can be viewed as day-to-day heading into the Dodgers' next game Monday versus the Cubs.

  • Rockies' Brett Sullivan: Logs first career steal

Sullivan went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Royals.

Sullivan's theft was the first of his career. Both of his attempts have come over his last 13 contests, a span in which he has gone 10-for-31 (.323) at the plate. The catcher is hitting .236 with a .680 OPS, four home runs, 18 RBI, 15 runs scored, 10 doubles and one triple over 151 plate appearances this season. Sullivan has yet to receive significant playing time, but that would likely change if Hunter Goodman is dealt prior to Monday's trade deadline.

  • Connor Wong C | BOS

Red Sox's Connor Wong: Receiving rest Sunday

Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Wong will get a breather Sunday after he started behind the plate in three of the Red Sox's previous four contests. Carlos Narvaez will handle catching duties in the series finale.
