Wynns is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Wynns will take a seat for the third time in five games since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. Pedro Severino will grab another start behind the plate and bat ninth.

McCann went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double and a walk in a 6-4 victory for the White Sox over the Red Sox on Thursday.

It was a big day at the dish for the backstop, who hit his third homer and fifth double of the season in this contest, both off David Price. He's been blistering hot over his 63 at-bats, as McCann is now boasting an impressive .365/.412/.587 slash line. If he continues to rake, he should command more at-bats than Wellington Castillo, who is hitting just .189 over 53 at-bats.

Grandal is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Grandal will receive some rest after starting each of the Brewers' last three games at catcher. Manny Pina checks in behind the plate and will work in a battery with Freddy Peralta.

Mejia is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Braves.

Mejia was behind the plate Tuesday and Wednesday, the first time all season he has received consecutive starts. With five strikeouts in seven at-bats between those contests, Mejia didn't capitalize on the opportunity and still looks to be the Padres' No. 2 backstop behind Austin Hedges.

Perez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Marlins.

The 30-year-old continues to get the majority of the starts behind the plate for Cleveland and supply a smidge of offense. Perez is slashing .219/.292/.391 through 21 games with three homers and six RBI, numbers which would actually be an improvement on his performance from the last few seasons.

Contreras went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 11-0 win over the Mariners.

The Cubs' lineup has been clicking lately, and Contreras has been right in the middle of the attack, as he now has eight home runs and 19 RBI this season. The 26-year-old catcher had just 10 home runs and 54 RBI in a down 2018 campaign, and he looks well on his way to shattering those marks in 2019.

Barnes is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Giants.

Barnes will take a seat for Wednesday's series finale after starting the previous two games behind the dish, going 2-for-8 with a double and two RBI in those contests. Russell Martin is starting at backstop and hitting sixth in this one.

Vazquez went 1-for-3 with a home run and walk in a 7-3 victory against the Athletics on Wednesday.

This was his first bomb since April 19, but he's batting .300 (6-for-20) in the last six games. That's only raised his season average to .227, but with eight extra-base hits, including five homers, Vazquez has posted an ISO of .240 in 2019. He also has 14 RBI and 13 runs in 75 at-bats this season.

Maldonado is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rays.

Maldonado will take a seat for the second half of Wednesday's twin bill after going 1-for-3 during Kansas City's victory in Game 1. Cam Gallagher gets the start behind the dish in Game 2.

Hedges remains on the bench Wednesday against the Braves, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Hedges finds himself on the bench in consecutive games for the first time this season. Francisco Mejia draws another start despite going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's contest.
