Barnhart isn't in Saturday's lineup against the White Sox.

Barnhart and Curt Casali have alternated starts behind the plate over the last five games, and the former will retreat to the bench once again after starting Friday.

D'Arnaud went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two walks and a run scored Friday as he contributed to the Braves' 15-2 win over the Mets.

D'Arnaud ignited a six-run fourth inning with a two-run shot to left to extend the Braves' lead to 8-0. The 31-year-old is having the best season of his eight-year career as he hitting .336/.397/.550 with eight home runs, 30 RBI and 17 runs scored across 156 plate appearances.

Marchan got the start in the second game of Friday's doubleheader sweep of the Blue Jays, going 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and a second run scored.

Remarkably, it was the 21-year-old's first professional homer at any level. Marchan's opportunities to contribute should dry up as soon as J.T. Realmuto (hip) is able to play again, but the rookie was at least able to make an impact when he got the chance.

Sanchez went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI and a run scored Friday as he helped the Yankees to a 6-5 comeback win over the Red Sox.

Sanchez got his first hit of the night on a two-run double to get the Yankees on the board in the seventh. Then, with two outs in the ninth, Sanchez swatted a game-tying solo home run over the Green Monster that would eventually send the game to extra innings. The 27-year-old has recorded consecutive multi-hit games for the first time in 2020 as it appears he may be heating up at the right time with the Yankees fighting for a playoff spot with just nine games remaining.

Vazquez went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two stolen bases, a walk, an RBI and a run scored in a 6-5 loss to the Yankees on Friday.

Vazquez did a little bit of everything, as it was the first time all season he's had multiple doubles and steals in a game. The 30-year-old backstop is enjoying a solid season in which he's hitting .276/.339/.417 with five home runs, 16 RBI and 19 runs scored in 171 plate appearances.

Perez went 4-for-5 with a homer, four RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 9-5 loss to the Brewers.

Perez was directly involved in all of the Royals' runs. He supplied a two-run double in the first inning and recorded his first steal of the year before scoring on an error. In the third, he knocked in Adalberto Mondesi with a single for the Royals' fourth run. Perez added a solo shot in the ninth for good measure. The catcher has multiple hits in each of his last six games, going 15-for-26 (.577) with three homers, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in that span.

Realmuto (hip) made progress Friday and could return for Monday's series opener against the Nationals, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Realmuto has already been ruled out for the Phillies' weekend series, but he could be on track for a return Monday as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks. Andrew Knapp should continue to serve behind the plate in Realmuto's absence.

Contreras went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Friday's 1-0 win over the Twins.

Rich Hill and Caleb Thielbar limited the Cubs to just three total hits, but Contreras managed two of them, and the Chicago catcher drove in the game's only run. Contreras is now batting .256 with a .760 OPS and 22 RBI in 49 games.

Gomes went 2-for-4 with two runs and one strikeout during the win in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the Marlins.

Gomes has continued to split time with Kurt Suzuki behind the plate this season, but he's put together some solid stat lines recently with multi-hit performances in two of his last four games. The 33-year-old is now hitting .282 with 11 runs and 11 RBI over 23 games this season.

Garver (side) was activated off the 10-day injured list Friday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

The 29-year-old was sidelined for the past month by a right intercostal strain, but he'll rejoin the Twins for the closing stretch of the regular season. Garver got off to an awful start this season with a .154/.262/.212 slash line and 24 strikeouts in his first 61 plate appearances.
