Stassi (concussion) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Salt Lake this week and could rejoin the active roster next week, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 30-year-old has been sidelined by a concussion since early April, but he recently resumed baseball activities and could soon rejoin the Halos. Drew Butera and Kurt Suzuki should continue to split time behind the plate until Stassi is fully cleared.

Grandal is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

Grandal is hitting just .136 on the season but is a solidly above-average hitter according to his 126 wRC+. He's far more valuable in leagues that use on-base percentage, as an incredible 29.5 percent walk rate has helped him to an excellent .391 mark in that category despite his awful batting average. He'll get a rest Tuesday with Zack Collins starting behind the plate.

Contreras is expected to take swings in the cage Tuesday after X-rays on his wrist came back negative, according to manager David Ross, Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

The catcher is not in the lineup against the Pirates after taking a pitch to the wrist while catching Sunday. However, he does not appear destined to miss prolonged time given Tuesday's positive news. It's unknown whether the backstop could be a pinch-hitting option Tuesday.

Contreras (wrist) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.

Contreras took a fastball to the wrist while behind the plate Sunday against the Cardinals but was able to stay in the game. However, with the backstop out of the lineup for Tuesday's series opener, it seems fair to reason that his wrist is not 100 percent. It's unclear at this point whether Contreras will be available off the bench Tuesday.

Haase is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.

Two of Haase's last three starts have come in left field, but he'll likely see most of his work behind the plate for the foreseeable future after Wilson Ramos (back) joined Grayson Greiner (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday. Jake Rogers will get a turn behind the dish Tuesday while Haase rests after he caught all nine innings in Monday's 6-5 loss while going 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.

McCann went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies.

Making his first career start at first base for the injury-ravaged Mets, McCann made a spectacular defensive play on his first chance in the field, then ruined Austin Gomber's shutout bid in the seventh inning with his second homer of the year. Despite the big all-around performance, the veteran catcher has only a .535 OPS on the season.

Diaz went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Mets.

He drove a David Peterson pitch over the left-field fence in the second inning. It's the first homer of the season for Diaz, who has effectively fallen into the short side of a platoon with Dom Nunez behind the plate for Colorado thanks to a woeful .410 OPS.

Murphy isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

The Mariners will turn to a left-handed bat in Jose Godoy against a right-hander hurler Monday evening, resulting in a second straight day off for Murphy. Godoy is batting seventh in Murphy's absence.

Wallach was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Wallach had lost out on playing time recently, and he'll head to the minors after Jorge Alfaro (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Wallach slashed .203/.246/.271 with three extra-base hits, six RBI and two runs to begin the season.

Narvaez is not in the lineup for Monday's game against San Diego, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Narvaez hits the bench after starting four straight games behind the plate. Manny Pina will take over in his absence.
