Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to Arizona.

Diaz took Matt Peacock deep to center to lead off the seventh and finally get the Rockies on the scoreboard. He now has five homers over his last eight games after having only two in his first 41 contests. The recent power surge has been a welcoming surprise but is surely unsustainable and won't take away from the fact that Diaz is slashing just .205/.280/.384 with seven homers, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and a 16:31 BB:K over 168 plate appearances for the season.

Murphy went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Narvaez started behind the plate in Game 1 and went 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts, so it's no surprise he won't be starting both ends of the twin bill. Manny Pina will bat seventh and catch for Brett Anderson in the nightcap.

McGuire isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

McGuire has gone 0-for-8 with three strikeouts across his last three appearances, and he'll be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Danny Jansen will start at catcher and bat ninth.

Smith is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against Miami, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Smith will hand the catching duties off to Austin Barnes after going 2-for-8 with an RBI and run scored while starting the first two games of the series.

Perez isn't starting Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rays.

Perez will get a breather after he went 1-for-3 with a double and a strikeout in Wednesday's matinee. Austin Hedges will start at catcher and bat eighth.

Stassi isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Grandal underwent successful surgery to repair a torn tendon in his left knee Wednesday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Grandal was removed from Monday's game against the Twins with a knee injury, and initial reports were that he's expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks. However, it's possible his return timeline could change, given that he required Wednesday's procedure. The White Sox still anticipate Grandal being able to return sometime later this season, and the club is expected to provide an update on the backstop in the near future. Zack Collins should serve as the primary catcher in coming weeks while Seby Zavala spells him behind the plate.
