Nola isn't starting Friday's game against the Rockies.

Nola drew starts in each of the last two games and went 2-for-7 with a double, an RBI and a strikeout. Victor Caratini will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Wallach was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Friday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Wallach gives the Dodgers an extra catcher on the 40-man roster after Keibert Ruiz was traded to the Nationals. He's unlikely to play a significant big-league role unless Will Smith or Austin Barnes get injured.

Garver (hand) will catch and bat cleanup Friday against the Cardinals.

Garver was hit by a pitch Tuesday against the Tigers and did not take part in Wednesday's contest. His X-rays were negative, however, so it's no surprise to see him back in action following a brief absence.

McCann isn't starting Friday against the Reds.

McCann started each of the last two games and went 2-for-7 with a strikeout. Tomas Nido will take over behind the dish and bat seventh.

Herrera owns a .216/.346/.345 slash line with six doubles, eight home runs, 41 RBI, and 30 runs across 65 games with Double-A Springfield.

Herrera did belt two homers and drive in five runs as part of a big 3-for-5 night versus Arkansas on Wednesday, but as his cited numbers suggest, performances of that caliber have been few and far between. The 21-year-old has proven to be a capable bat at every prior stop in the organization, however, so there's still reason to believe he can pick up his production before the end of the minor-league season. On the brighter side, Herrera's eight round trippers tie his career-best figure from 2019 at Low-A Peoria, while his 16.3 percent walk rate is a new high-water mark.

Raleigh isn't starting Friday against the Rangers.

Raleigh has gone 3-for-7 with a double, three RBI, a run, a walk and four strikeouts across his last two appearances, and he'll retreat to the bench for a second straight game. Tom Murphy will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Collins isn't in the lineup Friday against Cleveland.

Collins went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Thursday, and he'll head to the bench for the second time in the last three games. Seby Zavala will start behind the dish and bat ninth.

Gomes was traded from the Nationals to the Athletics along with Josh Harrison for an undisclosed package Friday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Gomes was just reinstated from the injured list after missing a few weeks with an oblique injury. He is hitting .271/.323/.454 with nine home runs in 63 games this year and will be a high-end backup to primary catcher Sean Murphy. Gomes is a free agent after this season.

D'Arnaud (thumb) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

D'Arnaud has been out since early May while recovering from thumb surgery. Given the length of his absence, he'll likely need a fair number of rehab appearances, though Atlanta has yet to announce exactly when he's expected to return.
