Fortes went 0-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Astros.

Fortes got aboard on an error and stole second in the second inning. Speed typically isn't a big component of a catcher's game -- this was Fortes' first steal in six contests this season, and he's never had more than six in a season in the minors. The 25-year-old has been limited to 24 plate appearances, but he's racked up seven hits, including two home runs, six RBI and 10 runs scored through six contests this season. Continued success at the plate could see Fortes begin to chip away at Jacob Stallings' playing time.

Zavala is traveling to Chicago on Saturday and is expected to join the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Rangers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Zavala was outrighted off the roster prior to Opening Day, but he'll be needed again with Yasmani Grandal (hamstring) unavailable for at least Sunday's contest. If Grandal's injury sends him to the injured list, Zavala will be his direct replacement on the roster, but the White Sox still intend to call up Zavala temporarily even if Grandal only has to miss a day or two, as the team doesn't want to go into a game with Reese McGuire as the only healthy catcher.

Rutschman went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Royals.

This was Rutschman's first three-hit game in his young career, as well as his first contest with multiple extra-base hits. The 24-year-old catcher is 5-for-24 in seven games in June as he's struggled to adjust to major-league pitching. He's at a .190/.261/.286 slash line with seven runs scored, but he's still in search of his first home run and RBI 17 games into his career.

Heineman went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 10-4 loss to Atlanta.

Heineman is not known for speed -- he had just one career stolen base and no triples entering Saturday. He was plunked in the fifth inning and promptly stole second before scoring on a Bryan Reynolds double. With Roberto Perez (hamstring) out for the year, the playing time's been there for Heineman recently, but he's failed to seize the opportunity by going 2-for-19 (.105) in six games in June. Overall, the catcher is hitting .182/.250/.236 with no home runs, two RBI and eight runs scored in 24 contests between the Pirates and the Blue Jays.

Grandal (hamstring) won't be available Sunday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Grandal left Saturday's game against the Rangers after injuring his left hamstring while running to first base. It's not yet clear whether he'll require a trip to the injured list, but the White Sox are expected to add a catcher to the active roster Sunday to avoid going into the series finale with only Reese McGuire available behind the plate.

Stallings is hitting .160 with zero home runs in 25 at-bats this month. Nick Fortes will start behind the dish and bat sixth.

He grabbed his left leg a bit and stretched it out after singling to right field for his second hit of the day, and he ended up leaving the game. Reese McGuire replaced Grandal at catcher.

Collins was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Collins was called up from Buffalo earlier in the week, but he will head back to Buffalo with top prospect Gabriel Moreno ready to join the big club.

Moreno was called up by the Blue Jays on Saturday.

It was reported earlier in the week that Moreno would likely make his big-league debut at some point this weekend, and with him now on the active roster he is now in position to do so. It's unclear exactly what role Moreno will fill, but he is one of the top prospects in the league, so he figures to get ample opportunities to show what he can do.
