Raleigh is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

He'll get a breather for the day game after a night game, allowing Curt Casali to get a turn behind the dish. Raleigh caught each of the Mariners' past three contests while going 1-for-8 with a home run and two walks.

Grandal went 0-for-2 with two walks in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Royals.

Grandal missed 10 days on the injured list with a knee injury, and he was able to play nine innings behind the dish Wednesday. He should resume the No. 1 catcher role now that he's healthy, though Thursday's series finale is an afternoon game, meaning he'll likely start that contest on the bench. For the year, Grandal's slashing .202/.310/.257 with three home runs, 21 RBI, nine runs scored and a stolen base through 75 contests.

Haase went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Mariners.

After getting a day off Tuesday, Haase returned and chipped in a productive game. The catcher has supplanted Tucker Barnhart as the team's top option at the position, and Haase has been good lately with a .290 batting average over his last 10 games. He's not the most exciting fantasy option, though he is offering much better offensive production than Barnhart this season.

Perez was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the White Sox due to back tightness, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Perez is in the midst of a seven-game hit streak during which he's gone 13-for-29 with two home runs, nine RBI and five runs, but back tightness will prevent him from starting as scheduled Wednesday. It's unclear if the veteran catcher will be available off the bench, and he should be considered day-to-day.

Contreras (ankle), who is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Blue Jays, had X-rays come back negative and was cleared of structural damage after undergoing an MRI, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The 30-year-old exited Tuesday's contest due to the ankle soreness he's been battling over the past week-plus, and it appears he'll continue to play through the injury since there's no serious concerns. According to manager David Ross the team will "look out for him and his career and his long-term health," though the skipper also said Contreras is "a baseball player and likes to play baseball." Contreras' playing time could be managed down the stretch if the ankle continues to bother him.

McCann is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers.

McCann will head to the bench after he caught in three of the Mets' past four games. Tomas Nido will form a battery with starting pitcher Jacob deGrom on Wednesday.

McGuire is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

McGuire will give way to Kevin Plawecki behind the plate after catching in each of Boston's last three games. Though the playing time has tilted in McGuire's favor of late, manager Alex Cora has yet to commit to the 27-year-old as the Red Sox's clear No. 1 catcher.

Tromp had his rehab assignment shut down after he aggravated his left quadriceps injury at Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Tromp joined the Triple-A club for a rehab assignment Sunday and went 0-for-6 with a run, a walk and two strikeouts over two games. However, it's not yet clear when he'll be cleared to return from the injured list following Tuesday's setback.

Sanchez isn't starting Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two runs and a strikeout Tuesday against Boston but will be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Sandy Leon is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.

Jansen isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs.

Jansen started the last three games and went 3-for-10 with a homer, a double, four RBI and two runs during that time. Alejandro Kirk is starting at catcher and batting cleanup Wednesday.
