Sanchez will sit Saturday against Cincinnati, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Sanchez sits for the second time in three games, which follows a stretch in which he started six of seven behind the plate. He's been a productive player since joining the Padres at the end of May, slashing .213/.300/.472 with seven homers in 29 games. Austin Nola will be the Padres' catcher Saturday.

Wong isn't in the Red Sox's lineup Saturday against Toronto, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Wong broke a four-game hitless streak Friday with a double, and he'll now receive a day off Saturday. Caleb Hamilton will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth.

Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-1 loss to the Twins.

He was the only O's hitter to solve Pablo Lopez, taking the right-hander deep in the sixth inning. Rutschman's production slowed in June, as he slashed .222/.293/.367 through 22 games with three of his 11 homers on the season and only seven RBI, and once James McCann (ankle) rejoins the lineup, it's possible Baltimore eases up a bit on the younger backstop's workload.

Heim went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Astros.

Heim returned to the lineup after a rest day and finished off a strong month of June (.849 OPS) with his 12th home run of the season. The recently named All-Star starter has maintained a productive bat since Opening Day, when he had two hits and two RBI. Heim ranks second on the Rangers with 57 RBI.

Murphy went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Friday's victory against the Marlins.

Murphy's 14th homer of the year was a two-run shot in the sixth inning of Friday's blowout win. Despite being limited to just 58 plate appearances in June, he posted a .928 OPS with seven extra-base hits during the month, including a long ball in each of his last two games. The breakout 2023 campaign continues for Murphy, who is now slashing .294/.390/.556 with 47 RBI and 28 extra-base knocks.

Bailey went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Friday's win against the Mets.

Bailey's eighth-inning shot gave the Giants the late lead. He's gone 11-for-29 (.379) with five extra-base hits and six RBI over his last eight games. The rookie catcher is now slashing .322/.347/.557 with five homers in 33 career MLB games.

Stallings exited Friday's game against Atlanta with left ankle soreness, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Stallings went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before departing. Nick Fortes has taken over behind the plate. For now, Stallings should be considered day-to-day.

Moreno is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Angels.

Moreno will get a breather after he went 2-for-4 with a double and a strikeout in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Rays. Carson Kelly will take over behind the plate and bat eighth in the series opener with Los Angeles.

Texas optioned Huff to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

Huff drew only three plate appearances and did not get a start during his two-week stay on the Rangers' roster. The 25-year-old has posted an encouraging .836 OPS with nine home runs and 37 RBI over 41 games this season at the Triple-A level, but Texas is all set at the catcher position between Jonah Heim and Mitch Garver.

The White Sox recalled Perez from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Perez was optioned to Charlotte after a brief stint with the White Sox in mid-May, and he's slashed .224/.292/.336 in the minors since then. Perez likely won't get much playing time in the majors behind Yasmani Grandal and Seby Zavala, though he can also play first base in a pinch. Adam Haseley was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
