  • Keibert Ruiz C | WAS

Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Resting up Monday

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

After starting behind the dish in the Nationals' final two games of the weekend, Ruiz will get a break while Washington opens a four-game set versus New York. Drew Millas will handle the catching duties Monday.

  • Padres' Luis Campusano: Resumes baseball activities

Campusano (toe) has begun taking part in baseball activities, though he's not yet pain-free and isn't close to a return, per MLB.com.

Campusano is dealing with a fractured left toe as the result of a ball he fouled off his foot May 5. Though the fracture has been deemed "small," Campusano is still dealing with some pain, so he isn't ready to resume playing in games. Freddy Fermin and Rodolfo Duran are San Diego's big-league catchers in Campusano's absence.

  • Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Gets on base four times

Moreno went 3-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Rockies.

Moreno logged his third multi-hit effort in a row, a span that also includes his two steals this season. His bat looks to be coming around -- prior to this hot stretch, he went 0-for-16 over a six-game span. The catcher is hitting .253 with a .677 OPS, one home run, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored and seven doubles across 92 plate appearances this season.

  • Will Smith C | LAD

Dodgers' Will Smith: Getting breather Sunday

Smith is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Smith started the previous six games and will receive a day off after going 5-for-19 with three walks, a homer, three RBI and four runs during that stretch. Dalton Rushing will step in behind the plate and bat seventh for the series finale in Anaheim.

  • Jimmy Crooks C | STL

Cardinals' Jimmy Crooks: Up to 13 home runs at Triple-A

Crooks went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a pair of walks in Triple-A Memphis' win over Jacksonville.

The long ball was Crooks' 13th of the season, which is only one off the career-high 14 homers he had at Memphis in 2025. He's also sporting a 17.7 percent walk rate and 30.6 percent strikeout rate, so it's been a three-true-outcomes season for the 24-year-old backstop. Crooks has a lot more offensive upside than Pedro Pages and is also a good defender, but the Cardinals like Pages' defense and handling of the pitching staff. A promotion for Crooks doesn't appear imminent.

  • Jose Trevino C | CIN

Reds' Jose Trevino: Lands on IL

The Reds placed Trevino (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Trevino picked up a hamstring injury during Saturday's game against the Guardians and will be out until at least the middle of next week. P.J. Higgins was called up in a corresponding move Sunday to serve as the backup catcher to Tyler Stephenson.

  • Joe Mack C | MIA

Marlins' Joe Mack: Taking seat Sunday

Mack is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Mack started the first two games of the series in Tampa Bay but will take a seat Sunday after going 1-for-8 with a run and five strikeouts. Liam Hicks is stepping behind the plate in the series finale while Christopher Morel picks up a start at first base.

  • Miguel Amaya C | CHC

Cubs' Miguel Amaya: Goes deep in loss

Amaya went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the White Sox.

Amaya batted ninth and provided a small jolt in the sixth inning when he launched his third home run of the year, though the Cubs already trailed 7-0 at that point. The 27-year-old catcher is in a clear backup role to Carson Kelly at the moment, which limits his overall fantasy upside, but Amaya can provide some offense when given the opportunity to start.

  • Braves' Drake Baldwin: Continues power surge

Baldwin went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two total RBI in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Baldwin was the centerpiece of Atlanta's offense, collecting two of the team's four hits and reaching base three times in total. He also produced both of the team's runs on a first-inning solo homer and a fifth-inning RBI single. Baldwin has gone deep four times over his past six games, though all four of those homers have been solo shots. He leads MLB catchers with 13 home runs on the season and ranks second for his position with 36 RBI.

  • Padres' Rodolfo Duran: Slugs first big-league homer

Duran went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against Seattle in a 7-4 victory Saturday.

Duran achieved a professional milestone when he went deep with a two-run shot in the seventh inning for his first big-league homer. The 28-year-old is getting his first taste of the majors while Luis Campusano (toe) is on the 10-day injured list. Duran has previously shown some flashes of power in the minors -- he clubbed 15 home runs over 85 games with Triple-A El Paso in 2025 and had gone deep four times across 23 contests with El Paso before being called up this season.
