Pirates' Joey Bart: Reaches base twice in return
Bart went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals.
Bart was activated from the injured list Friday but didn't return to the lineup until the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. The Pirates have a crowded rotation at catcher that also includes Yasmani Grandal and Henry Davis, though Bart has hit well enough this season to also get looks as the team's designated hitter.

One day after being removed from a game due to a head injury, Herrera returned to the lineup. Pages has gone 4-for-14 (.286) over four games in September, but three of those hits have been homers. The catcher is up to six long balls, 22 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and a .245/.287/.396 slash line through 172 plate appearances this season.

William Contreras C | MIL
Brewers' William Contreras: Smacks 21st home run
Contreras went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Rockies.
Contreras took Ty Blach deep for a two-run homer in the third inning and set a new career high for homers in a season after he hit 20 in 2022 with Atlanta. Contreras' multi-hit effort broke him out of a 0-for-19 slump over his last six games. The 26-year-old catcher has found his power stroke as of late with 10 home runs since the beginning of August, including four in his last 10 starts.
