Stassi is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.

Stassi will ride the pine for the third straight contest as the Angels continue to utilize a three-man rotation behind the plate. Anthony Bemboom receives the starting nod and will hit ninth Friday.

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

D'Arnaud was pulled from Thursday's contest due to neck and shoulder tightness, so it's not a major surprise to see him remain on the bench Friday. Mike Zunino will start behind the plate and bat eighth in his stead.

Nola went 3-for-6 with a pair of homers, a double and five RBI while scoring three times in a loss to Houston on Thursday.

Nola plated Seattle's first run with a double in the first inning, crushed a two-run homer to left field in the second and went deep again in the seventh. The long balls were the first for Nola since he left the yard in three straight games Aug. 17-19. The 29-year-old rookie is slashing .277/.337/.497 with nine homers and 23 RBI in 60 games this season.

Collins started at first base and went 0-for-3 with two walks and a run scored in Thursday's 7-1 win over Cleveland.

True to general manager Rick Hahn's word, the White Sox are giving Collins a fair shake in September. This was his third straight start with the first two coming at designated hitter. He's 2-for-7 with a triple, an RBI and four walks in the three games.

D'Arnaud was removed from Thursday's game due to neck and shoulder tightness, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

It sounds like d'Arnaud may have been dinged a few times behind the plate. Mike Zunino replaced him for the ninth inning. D'Arnaud was hitless prior to exiting and is now 1-for-15 in his last four games, with the one hit going for a homer.

Narvaez (back) is not in Thursday's lineup against the Astros.

Narvaez is still dealing with back spasms and will miss a third consecutive game as a result. Per Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle, the backstop is scheduled to take BP on Thursday and could be available off the bench if it goes well. Tom Murphy is once again starting behind the dish in his place.

Jansen is not in the lineup Thursday against the Rays.

Jansen is hitting just .208 with a .646 OPS through 99 games this season. He'll sit for a second straight game and the fourth time in six games as Reese McGuire picks up a start behind the dish Thursday.

Garver (jaw) is starting at catcher and hitting sixth Thursday against the Red Sox.

Garver has been cleared to rejoin the lineup for Thursday's series finale after missing the past two games with a sore jaw, which he suffered after taking a foul tip to the mask Monday. Through 78 games this season, the backstop is slashing .273/.356/.618 with a career-high 26 home runs and 57 RBI.

Stassi is not starting Thursday against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Stassi will stick on the bench for a second straight game as the Angels continue to rotate between three catchers. Kevan Smith is starting behind the dish and hitting ninth in this one.

Murphy made his first major-league start in a win over the Angels on Wednesday and went 1-for-3 with a solo home run.

Manager Bob Melvin had previously announced Murphy would make his highly anticipated big-league debut either Wednesday or Thursday, and he quickly made good on that promise. The promising backstop launched a 409-foot solo shot off Jake Jewell in the fifth inning for his first big-league hit and could eventually work his way up from the eighth spot in the order, out of which he operated against the Angels.
