  • Jose Trevino C | CIN

Yankees' Jose Trevino: On bench Sunday

Trevino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Trevino and Kyle Higashioka have alternated starts across the past 11 games, and manager Aaron Boone will continue that trend Sunday. Higashioka will start behind the plate and bat seventh after Trevino went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch during Saturday's contest.

  • Eric Haase C | SF

Tigers' Eric Haase: Three-run homer in win

Haase went 3-for-5 with a double, a three-run home run and three total runs scored in Saturday's win over Texas.

Haase knocked in Robbie Grossman and Miguel Cabrera on a homer in the fourth. The catcher also came around to score on a Jonathan Schoop single in the sixth. Haase now has back-to-back multi-hit games and has raised his batting average to .212. After struggling through April and May, he is slashing .333/.357/.630 in June.

  • Rays' Francisco Mejia: Perfect night at the plate

Mejia went 4-for-4 with three singles, a double and a run scored in a 7-6 win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Mejia appears to have broken out of his recent slump. The 26-year-old catcher had a four-hit game after hitting a paltry .103 over his last 10 contests. Mejia will need more consistent production at the plate if he hopes to replicate his .260 average over 277 plate appearances from last season.

  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Athletics' Sean Murphy: Not starting Saturday

Murphy isn't starting Saturday's game against the Royals.

Murphy started in the last 10 games and slashed .257/.333/.457 with two homers, a double, three runs and three RBI. He'll get a breather while Stephen Vogt starts behind the plate and bats cleanup.

Angels' Max Stassi: On bench for matinee

Stassi isn't starting the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Stassi went 2-for-8 with three strikeouts over the last two games and will be out of the starting nine for the second time in the last four matchups. Kurt Suzuki is starting behind the plate and batting seventh.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: On bench for afternoon game

Raleigh will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Angels.

Raleigh was never going to start both halves of the twin bill despite the fact that he owns a .967 OPS in his last 12 games. Luis Torrens starts behind the plate in Game 1, but Raleigh should return for Game 2.

  • White Sox's Reese McGuire: Remains on bench

McGuire isn't starting Saturday against Houston.

McGuire will be out of the lineup for a third consecutive matchup after he went 4-for-12 with two doubles, four runs, a walk and three strikeouts over his last four games. Seby Zavala will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

  • Tigers' Tucker Barnhart: On bench Saturday

Barnhart isn't starting Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Barnhart went 0-for-3 with a strikeout during Friday's loss to Texas, and he'll retreat to the bench for the third time in the last four games. Eric Haase is starting behind the dish and batting cleanup.

  • Jonah Heim C | ATH

Rangers' Jonah Heim: Day off Saturday

Heim isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Tigers.

Heim drew starts in the last three games and went 3-for-12 with a homer, a double, three RBI, a run and two strikeouts. Sam Huff will take over behind the plate and bat sixth.

  • Orioles' Adley Rutschman: On bench Saturday

Rutschman isn't starting Saturday's game against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Rutschman will get a breather Saturday after he went 5-for-11 with a homer, two doubles, four RBI, three runs and a walk over the last three games. Robinson Chirinos is starting behind the plate and batting seventh.
