Danny Jansen C | TEX
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Nabs first steal of season
Jansen went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Orioles.
The catcher swiped his first base of the year in the sixth inning as part of an 8-4 win and a sweep of the twin bill. Jansen is heating up at the plate again, batting .320 (8-for-25) over his last eight games with two homers and five RBI as he splits the workload behind the plate with Alejandro Kirk.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Resting for nightcap
Kirk isn't in the lineup for the second game of Monday's doubleheader with the Orioles.
With George Springer serving as the Blue Jays' designated hitter in Game 2 and Danny Jansen checking in behind the plate, Kirk will retreat to the bench. Kirk caught all nine innings of the Jays' 7-3 win in Game 1, going 0-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.

Sam Huff C | BAL
Rangers' Sam Huff: Recalled Monday
Huff was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
Huff appeared in 30 major-league games earlier in the year and hit .260 with a homer, five runs, five RBI and a stolen base. He was sent down in mid-July but will provide depth behind the dish for the Rangers after Meibrys Viloria was optioned to Round Rock on Monday.

Martin Maldonado C | SD
Astros' Martin Maldonado: Good to go Monday
Maldonado (illness) will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Rangers.
As anticipated, Maldonado is ready to resume catching duties Monday after he was scratched in advance of Sunday's 9-1 win over the Angels due to a minor cold. In his return, Maldonado will form a battery with right-hander Hunter Brown, who is making his MLB debut.

Reese McGuire C | CHW
Red Sox's Reese McGuire: Sitting again Monday
McGuire will sit Monday versus the Rays.
McGuire will take a seat for a second game in a row Monday as the Red Sox start their three-game series with the Rays. Kevin Plawecki will step in behind the dish Monday and is part of what's become a three-way timeshare at catcher with Boston bringing up Connor Wong from Triple-A Worcester as one of its September call-ups.

Francisco Mejia C | TB
Rays' Francisco Mejia: Sits for third time in four games
Mejia is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Mejia will sit for the third time in four games while Christian Bethancourt gets another turn behind the dish. The Rays haven't yet indicated that Bethancourt is their preferred option behind the plate, but expect a roughly even timeshare between the two backstops to remain in place for the time being. Mejia hasn't bolstered his case for earning a larger share of the playing time by slashing .254/.302/.339 in 18 games since he returned from the injured list Aug. 5.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Gets breather in Game 1
Jansen is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the Orioles.
Jansen will get a breather in Monday's day game after he went 1-for-7 with a run scored while starting the final two games of the series versus the Pirates. The 27-year-old will be replaced behind the plate by Alejandro Kirk, who will bat fourth in the series opener.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Another clutch hit Sunday
Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.
Langeliers' third-inning single plated both Vimael Machin and Stephen Vogt, staking the Athletics to a 3-0 lead at the time. The rookie now has a trio of multi-RBI efforts in his last nine games thanks to a .375 average across eight plate appearances with runners in scoring position during that span.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Makes impact off bench
Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-3 extra-innings win over the Guardians.
Raleigh didn't start the contest, but he drew into the game in the ninth inning as a pinch hitter. He struck out in that at-bat, but redemption came in the 11th when he added insurance runs with his 22nd homer of the campaign. The catcher is on a remarkable power surge, as four of his last five hits over his last five games have left the yard. He's up to a .208/.281/.484 slash line with 52 RBI, 38 runs scored and a stolen base through 100 contests this year.
