Tristan Gray SS | BOS
White Sox's Tristan Gray: Summoned from Triple-A
The White Sox recalled Gray from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
Gray has spent the entire 2025 season at Charlotte, slashing .280/.349/.493 with nine home runs across 62 contests. The White Sox selected Gray's contract Saturday to add him to the 40-man roster, and the 29-year-old will now join the 26-man active roster after Ryan Noda (quadriceps) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday in a corresponding move. Gray is likely to be used mostly in a reserve role while he's up with the big club.

Marcelo Mayer SS | BOS
Red Sox's Marcelo Mayer: Sitting out third straight
Mayer is again absent from the lineup for Monday's contest against the Rockies.
The Red Sox are facing a lefty (Austin Gomber) for the third straight day. The lefty-swinging Mayer has been out of the lineup for all three contests, though he did receive two plate appearances off the bench in Sunday's win over the Nationals. Mayer is 4-for-22 with a 7:0 K:BB early on versus southpaws at the big-league level. Nate Eaton is again at third base Monday.

Nathan Eaton LF | BOS
Red Sox's Nate Eaton: Emerging as leadoff man vs. LHPs
Eaton will start at third base and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Rockies, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
The right-handed-hitting Eaton will set the table for the third game in a row, with the Red Sox having opposed left-handed starters in each of those contests. Eaton was effective in the table-setting role over the Red Sox's final two contests of the weekend against the Nationals, going a combined 2-for-7 with a double, a stolen base and three runs between those games.

Brady House SS | WAS
Nationals' Brady House: On base four times in loss
House went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.
All three knocks were singles, but it was still an impressive performance from the rookie third baseman, who also avoided striking out in the contest, only the second time in his last 11 games he's done so. House is still looking for his first big-league homer as well as some consistency at the plate -- through his first 18 contests and 78 plate appearances for the Nationals, he's slashing .247/.282/.288 with three doubles, two steals, four runs, eight RBI and a 4:20 BB:K.

Junior Caminero 3B | TB
Rays' Junior Caminero: Drives in pair
Caminero went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Sunday against the Twins.
Caminero had some timely hitting Sunday, driving in runs on a fielder's choice and sacrifice fly. He went 3-for-12 across the Rays' weekend series against the Twins, but he still managed at least one RBI in all three contests. Caminero has been exceptionally productive since late May, racking up 13 home runs with 37 RBI and 33 runs scored while hitting .283 across his last 40 games.

Nolan Arenado 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Sitting again Sunday
Arenado (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The veteran third baseman was scratched from the lineup Saturday due to a right shoulder impingement and will sit for a second consecutive game Sunday. According to Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat, Arenado said he's feeling "drastically better" Sunday, so he seems likely to avoid a trip to the injured list. Thanks to Monday's team off day, Arenado will head into Tuesday's series opener versus Washington with four straight days of rest.

Tristin English 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tristin English: Called up from Triple-A
The Diamondbacks selected English's contract from Triple-A Reno on Sunday.
The 28-year-old will receive his first promotion to the majors as Pavin Smith (oblique) heads to the injured list in a corresponding move. English was a third-round pick by the Diamondbacks in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, but he's never developed into a marquee prospect. He has a .336/.388/.546 slash line with nine home runs in 58 games with Triple-A Reno this season but isn't likely to have a major role while up with the big club.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Getting Sunday off
Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Garcia started the previous 30 games and will receive a day to reset while he's in the midst of a 4-for-24 slump. Nick Loftin will fill in at the hot corner and bat eighth versus Arizona righty Anthony DeSclafani.

Ben Williamson 3B | SEA
Mariners' Ben Williamson: Idle Sunday
Williamson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
Miles Mastrobuoni will get the nod at third base while Williamson heads to the bench for the series finale. The rookie had started in each of the Mariners' previous five games, going 4-for-14 with three doubles, two walks, two runs and two RBI.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Getting breather Sunday
Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.
After his 12-game hitting streak came to an end in Saturday's 1-0 loss, Hayes will exit the starting nine for what will be his first day off since June 25. Jared Triolo will spell Hayes at third base and will bat seventh.
