Vosler was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday.

Vosler will head back to Tacoma after spending over two weeks with the major-league club, going 5-for-28 with a triple, a double, three RBI and two runs scored. In a corresponding move, Dominic Canzone (thigh) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list.

Urshela isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Thursday's game against Seattle.

Urshela will take a seat for Thursday's series finale after going 2-for-5 and driving in two RBI during Wednesday's victory. While he rests, Zach McKinstry will get the starting nod at the hot corner and bat eighth.

Mayo isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Thursday's game against Toronto.

Mayo has struck out in eight of his first 13 major-league at-bats, and he is still searching for his first career hit after five games in the big leagues. He'll get a day to regroup Thursday while Ramon Urias starts at the hot corner and bats ninth.

Rivera is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Reds.

Rivera has been the Marlins' primary third baseman of late while Jake Burger mostly occupies first base or the designated hitter slot. However, it will be Burger handling the hot corner in this one.

Alvarez went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Alvarez, who was summoned from Triple-A Las Vegas earlier in the day, drew the start at first base and delivered the Athletics' first run with his seventh-inning single. The 29-year-old rookie has performed well over a small sample in his long-awaited opportunity versus big-league pitching, as he now sports a .261 average and .320 on-base percentage during his seven total games with Oakland this season.

McMahon is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.

The Rockies are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game and are facing off against a lefty (David Peterson), so manager Bud Black likely viewed Thursday's contest as a good opportunity to give the lefty-hitting McMahon some off time. Aaron Schunk will step in at third base in place of McMahon, who had gone hitless in each of his last six starts, bringing his batting average down to .252 for the season.

Lipscomb is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Giants.

The righty-hitting Lipscomb had already been excluded from the starting nine in four of the Nationals' last six matchups with right-handed pitchers, but he'll now find himself on the bench Thursday against a lefty (Kyle Harrison). Lipscomb already seems to have lost hold of a regular role at third base to Ildemaro Vargas, and a demotion to the minors could be imminent for the 24-year-old Lipscomb, who is slashing just .152/.211/.182 since he was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on July 6.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Nationals.

The veteran third baseman connected on his 19th homer of the year when he launched a solo shot off Jake Irvin in the fifth inning. Chapman has found a groove since the All-Star break, and over his last 14 games he's slashing .377/.459/.811 with five doubles, six long balls, 13 runs and 13 RBI.

Burger went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Both blasts came off Andrew Abbott, as Burger took the southpaw deep in the first and fifth innings. The 28-year-old has found his power stroke since the All-Star break, slashing .296/.362/.718 over the last 19 games with nine of his 17 homers on the season, but the patchwork lineup around him hasn't given him many opportunities to drive in runs with them -- Burger has only 14 RBI to show for those nine long balls.

Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday in the first game of a twin bill versus the Angels.

Cabrera belted New York's only homer in the doubleheader, smashing a solo shot to right field in the second inning of Game 1. He got the start at second base in that contest but returned to the bench and didn't see a plate appearance in the second game. Cabrera has seen his playing time shrink since the Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm to play third base at the trade deadline -- Wednesday marked Cabrera's first start at any position across the team's past seven contests.
