Longoria went 1-for-3 with a walk and his fifth homer Monday against the Mariners.

Longoria has been bringing the power this season, with eight doubles and a .455 slugging percentage that would be his best since 2013. But Longoria has been uncharacteristically impatient, with just a 4 percent walk rate, and the result has been a brutal .279 OBP. It's hard to imagine Longoria's .240 average and 23 percent strikeout rate wouldn't be improved if he could find his selective ways of old as well. He has recorded at least one strikeout in each of his past seven games, so even with Monday's performance, it's hard to say things are moving in the right direction just yet.

Segura homered, his fifth, as part of a 2-for-5 game with two runs scored and and RBI in Monday's win over Colorado.

In his 31st game of 2016, Segura tied his home run output from 146 games in 2014 and is now just one behind his home run output from 142 games in 2015. Segura hit 12 home runs in his All-Star season of 2013 and is finally starting to show the power that had people excited about him back then once again. Segura's batting line is up to .341/.369/.533, and while he isn't likely to keep hitting like a 20-homer-a-year slugger, Segura is making consistent contact (12.1 percent strikeout rate) and could parlay that into a great batting average this year. He hit .294/.329/.423 in his career year of 2013.

Valencia is considered day-to-day after exiting Monday's game against the Red Sox with hamstring tightness, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

While this injury doesn't seem to have long-term implications like his most recent stint on the 15-day DL from the same hamstring, Chris Coghlan will likely take over for Valencia if a day of rest is needed Tuesday.

Valencia left Monday's game in the second inning after an apparent leg injury that appeared to be his previously injured left hamstring.

Valencia legged out a infield single in the top of the second and appeared to grimace and pull up as he got to first base. He remained in the game and scored a run, but then was lifted between innings. It appeared to be the same left hamstring that placed Valencia on the DL in April, but there is no word from the team with details or severity as of yet.

Plouffe is in the lineup Monday against Baltimore.

Plouffe reported Sunday that he's still experiencing discomfort in his right intercostal, but it doesn't look to be anything serious given his presence in Monday's lineup. Plouffe, who registered two hits Sunday, will bat cleanup behind Brian Dozier, who returns after missing three games with a hamstring issue.

Reyes, 19, is batting .238/.305/.400 with three home runs and 14 RBI through 29 games for High-A Frederick.

It is important to remember that Reyes is still a teenager and among the younger players at this level. He's already a full-grown man at 6-foot-3, 220-lbs, though. His power remains promising, though he is a ways away from making a big-league impact.

Machado went 2-for-4 in Sunday's 11-3 rout of the A's with both hits leaving the yard, as he hit a two-run shot in the first inning and a grand slam in the eighth.

The two homers were part of a six-HR barrage by the O's. So far Machado's been more than worth the first round pick he cost in most leagues, and he's slashing .350/.403/.691 on the season with nine homers, 22 RBI and 24 runs scored. He's still looking for his first steal after swiping 20 in 2015, however, so incredibly enough there is room for improvement in his performance from a fantasy perspective.

Arenado went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI during Sunday's 2-0 win over the Giants.

Arenado opened the scoring with an RBI triple in the first, and the Colorado pitching staff was able to make that run stand up en route to a close win. His OPS sits at 1.083 through 31 games, and his batting average is all the way up to .322 after a slow start in that department.

Plouffe's right intercostal strain still bothers him when he swings, and will be checked out on Monday, Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press reports.

It appears Plouffe isn't fully recovered from the intercostal strain that placed him on the disabled list in April. He insists that he is okay and will keep playing, however his performance since returning has been a bit lackluster, getting just three hits in his last 20 at-bats. His two-hit performance Sunday was easily his best performance since returning from the DL.

Moncada belted his third homer of the week for High-A Salem in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Moncada hadn't homered in his first 80 at-bats, but has gone yard three times in his previous 20. We were wondering about an adjustment to this new level, but there's been no noticeable dip in Moncada's bat relative to his 81-game stint at Low-A Greenville in 2015. In his past six games, he's sporting a 1.452 OPS, fueled by six extra-base hits and five walks in 26 plate appearances. A promotion to Double-A Portland this season isn't too far off.
