Senzel (shoulder) was scratched Sunday from Triple-A Louisville's lineup for the club's game against Toledo, John Wagner of The Toledo Blade reports.

Louisville initially listed Senzel as its designated hitter and No. 2 hitter for the day, but the team evidently decided it was best to give the the 22-year-old another day off while he manages a left shoulder injury. The fact that Senzel was close to playing one day after suffering a jammed shoulder indicates that a trip to the 7-day disabled list likely won't be in store for the Reds' top prospect.

Donaldson (shoulder) went 0-for-3 while serving as the designated hitter for High-A Dunedin in a rehab game Saturday.

According to Hazel Mae of Sportsnet, Blue Jays skipper John Gibbons said Sunday that Donaldson could be on pace to return from the 10-day disabled list next weekend, ahead of Toronto's three-game road set in Tampa. Donaldson's activation will likely be contingent on him playing third base and throwing across the diamond without any issue during the rehab assignment. The limitations the shoulder presented defensively for Donaldson were at the root of his placement on the DL earlier this month, as he had been slashing a palatable .239/.352/.457 prior to the shutdown.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez suggested that Rendon (toe) is unlikely to be activated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Monday's game against the Pirates, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

Rendon was first eligible to return from the DL on Sunday versus the Diamondbacks, but the club felt the third baseman needed a little more time to recover from the left toe injury. The 27-year-old was able to complete an on-field workout Sunday, reinforcing Martinez's belief that Rendon is coming along well and is close to returning. Rendon will likely do some more activity Monday with the hope of gaining clearance to play the following day.

Updating a previous report, Alvarez has been added to the Orioles' lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, according to Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com. Alvarez will start at third base and bat seventh.

The Orioles would have preferred to keep Alvarez on the bench against Tigers lefty Daniel Norris, but Danny Valencia's late scratch due to an undisclosed issue forced manager Buck Showalter to tinker with the lineup. Alvarez owns a .206/.272/.339 career batting line (69 wRC+) versus left-handed pitching.

Valencia was a late scratch from the Orioles' lineup Sunday against the Tigers due to an undisclosed issue, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.

Valencia had been in line to bat fifth and start at third base, but Pedro Alvarez will now replace him in the field, while right fielder Anthony Santander moves up from seventh to fifth in the order. Expect the Orioles to provide an update on the reason behind Valencia's absence in the near future.

LeMahieu (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

LeMahieu's sore right hamstring will keep him on the bench for the second straight day, but the Rockies have thus far resisted moving him to the disabled list. The team will likely reevaluate the second baseman ahead of Monday's series opener in Chicago before having a better idea on whether or not a disabled list stint will be necessary. Pat Valaika will earn his second straight start at the keystone Sunday and will likely act as the primary replacement for the duration of LeMahieu's absence.

Robinson is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Robinson will ride the pine for the second straight day with the Blue Jays bringing another left-hander to the hill in J.A. Happ. Though Adrian Beltre's hamstring injury will indirectly pave the way for Robinson to slot in as the Rangers' primary second baseman, it looks like he'll be part of a platoon at the position with Isiah Kiner-Falefa, who will shift over to third base against right-handed pitching.

Duffy is out of the lineup Sunday against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

After missing 10 days with a hamstring injury, Duffy returned from the disabled list Friday and started back-to-back games against Boston, going 5-for-11 with a double in those contests. It doesn't sound like he experienced any setbacks with the hamstring in either game, so it seems Duffy's absence Sunday is just a planned rest day. After Duffy served as the leadoff man the past two days while the Rays faced southpaws, Denard Span will assume table-setting duties in the series finale with right-hander Rick Porcello on the bump.

Alvarez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.

After going deep twice in the series opener Friday, Alvarez has yet to receive an opportunity to build on the performance with the Tigers bringing left-handed pitchers to the hill for the final two games of the weekend. Alvarez's career-long struggles against southpaws will continue to confine him to a platoon at designated hitter, though he'll see the larger portion of starts as the left-handed option.

Rendon (toe) was eligible to return from the 10-day disabled list Sunday against the Diamondbacks but wasn't activated, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Rendon likely wasn't included in Sunday's lineup because the team wanted to see how his toe responded to Saturday's workout. He could be ready to play at some point during the Nationals' four-game series with Pittsburgh that begins Monday.
