McMahon is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Giants, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Despite hitting safely in all four games (5-for-17) since being recalled, he will take a seat with southpaw Derek Holland on the mound for the Giants. He appears to be occupying the strong side of a second base platoon while DJ LeMahieu (thumb) is on the disabled list. The righty-hitting Daniel Castro will start at the keystone and hit seventh.

Valencia was put on the paternity list Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

This moves comes as expected, with Valencia's wife going into labor Tuesday. He'll get a few days to spend with his family, and Donnie Hart will join the big-league squad in the meantime.

Walding was called up from Triple-A Lehigh on Wednesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Walding will get a shot in the major leagues after hitting .271 with seven home runs and 21 RBI through 48 games at Triple-A. The 25-year-old was called up after Pedro Florimon (foot) was placed on the disabled list. He will likely play primarily off the bench.

Donaldson (calf) is not in Wednesday's starting lineup against the Red Sox, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Donaldson likely won't return to the lineup until Friday against Detroit, following a scheduled off day Thursday. Manager John Gibbons stated it's "highly unlikely" that Donaldson would be available to pinch hit Wednesday, per Hazel Mae of Sportsnet. In his absence, Gio Urshela gets the nod at third and will bat ninth.

Duffy went 3-for-4 with three singles and was caught stealing on his only attempt in a win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

While there were no extra-base hits in Duffy's tally Tuesday, he continues to enjoy a stellar month at the plate. The hot-hitting infielder's May average is up to .321 following the three-hit effort, his third multi-hit haul in the last five games. Finally healthy after injuries wiped out all of last season, Duffy is demonstrating a level of offensive proficiency reminiscent of his solid 2015 rookie campaign in San Francisco, when he slashed .295/.334/.428 over 149 games.

Segura went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers.

Segura missed a pair of games after getting kicked in the head Saturday, but he picked up right where he left off. The three-hit day was his third in the last four games, running his average to .330 on the season and .365 in May. As long as he's healthy and getting on base, the 28-year-old figures to remain among the league leaders in runs scored and steals.

Suarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Suarez clubbed a homer off starter Zack Godley in the sixth, his 10th long ball of the year and third in his last six games. The 26-year-old is now hitting .294/.371/.594 with an MLB-leading 42 RBI on the season. Suarez hit 26 home runs with 82 RBI last year, and so far he's well on pace to surpass those numbers.

Longoria went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies.

Longoria took starter Kyle Freeland deep in the sixth and then hit another long ball -- his 10th of the year -- off Bryan Shaw in the eighth. This was Longoria's third multi-hit game in his last four contests, raising his average to .263 on the season. The 32-year-old's 29 RBI put him just within the top 10 among MLB third basemen, but his .293 on-base percentage ranks near the bottom at the position. Longoria does have 26 extra-base hits, but he also carries an unfavorable 43:8 K:BB on the season.

Arenado went 2-for-5 with a run, two RBI and two doubles in Tuesday's win over the visiting Giants.

Arenado got an RBI groundout in the first, an RBI double in the fourth and connected for another double -- his 12th of the year -- in the eighth. Arenado now has 24 extra-base hits this season, and his .321 batting average and .417 on-base percentage both lead all MLB third basemen. The 27-year-old is wrapping up a fantastic May in which he's hit .330 with six home runs, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored while posting a 1.028 OPS.

Machado was 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals.

Machado and Bryce Harper traded solo blasts in the first inning Tuesday, but the Orioles' lineup offered little else in terms of offensive production, per usual. Baltimore's shortstop has cooled off a bit after his insane start to the season -- 1.124 OPS through April -- but still has an impressive .326/.394/.614 line with 16 home runs and 45 RBI in 215 at-bats on the year.
