Rivera went 1-for-3 in Monday's loss to the White Sox.

With Miguel Rojas (shoulder) and JT Riddle (forearm) both sidelined, Rivera is all the Marlins have left at shortstop, and the 27-year-old has gone 1-for-7 while starting the last two games. Rojas may not be out for long, but until he's cleared to return, Rivera and his .478 career OPS will remain in the lineup.

Moncada slotted in as the cleanup hitter Monday and went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in a 9-1 win over the Marlins.

Moncada singled in a run in the first inning then bashed his career-high 18th homer two at-bats later to give Chicago a 7-1 lead. He entered the game with just 13 plate appearances batting fourth in the order, all coming in 2017. White Sox manager Rick Renteria, understanding his team is unlikely to make the playoffs, told Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times that the team is the "discovery zone" right now. "We're starting to see some of these guys in different positions, see what they're going to be able to do," said the manager. If Moncada continues to bat cleanup, he'll be in a better position to drive in runs. He has 56 RBI, five shy of the career-best 61 set in 2018.

Escobar started at second base and went 2-for-4 with a walk, two triples, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Orioles.

Escobar has tripled three times in the last four games, giving him nine for the season, tied for most in MLB with Whit Merrifield and Adalberto Mondesi. He's been getting regular duty at second base lately despite the return of Wilmer Flores, who will see action whenever a left-hander is on the mound. Monday's start was Escobar's 12th at the keystone.

Duffy (hamstring), who's slated to be activated from the injured list either Tuesday or Wednesday, took grounders and participated in batting practice prior to Monday's game against the Red Sox, Ryan Kolakowski of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy is on the precipice of his long-awaited season debut, and Monday's activity, his first with the major-league club since spring, inched him ever closer. The veteran will slot in around the infield once he's activated, and with third baseman Yandy Diaz exiting Monday's game after fouling a ball off his foot, the hot corner may be Duffy's first stop if Diaz is forced to miss any time.

Suarez went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a 6-5 win over the Brewers on Monday.

Suarez hit a two-run home run on the first pitch in his fourth at-bat and played hero with another two-run blast in the ninth inning that put the Reds ahead for good. Suarez continues to mash in July, posting a .263/.343/.684 slash line with nine home runs.

LeMahieu went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, a double and a walk in Monday's 8-6 loss to Minnesota.

With his 15th blast of the season, LeMahieu has tied the career-high he set with Colorado last season. However, his homers in 2019 have come in 154 fewer at-bats. His .338 average puts him in the thick of the MLB batting title race, a feat he's already earned once in his career.

Senzel (hamstring) is back in action Monday against the Brewers.

Senzel has been out of the lineup for three straight games but appeared off the bench in both games over the weekend. He'll return to center field and bat leadoff Monday.

General manager Erik Neander said Duffy (hamstring) would be activated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

On the shelf all season while enduring multiple setbacks in his recovery from a left hamstring injury, Duffy finally reached the finish line in his recovery after wrapping up a seven-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Durham his weekend. During his time with the affiliate, Duffy went 9-for-27 with two extra-base hits and nine RBI while seeing action at both third base and shortstop. Neander noted that Duffy will be deployed primarily at third base in his first few contests back with the Rays, but the general manager ultimately envisions the 28-year-old seeing action at all four infield spots. One of the Rays' two utility men -- Joey Wendle and Mike Brosseau -- will likely lose his spot on the active roster once Duffy is reinstated.

Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's victory over Washington.

Donaldson swatted a 432-foot home run to left field in the sixth inning, then singled in another run in the seventh. The impressive outing continued Donaldson's productive July in which he has compiled a 1.221 OPS along with eight homers and 18 runs batted in. After a pair of injury-plagued seasons, the 33-year-old has enjoyed a resurgent 2019, slashing .256/.374/.521 with 23 homers and 58 RBI in 340 at-bats.

LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in an 8-4 loss against the Rockies on Sunday.

The 31-year-old's incredible season continued Sunday, as he hit his 14th homer. He's now just one shy of his career-high 15 home runs from last year, and LeMahieu is on an eight-game hitting streak. He is batting .333 with 14 home runs, 68 RBI, 71 runs and four steals in 375 at-bats this season.
