Ramirez went 3-for-6 with a solo home run and two doubles in a 14-inning victory over Kansas City on Thursday.

Almost five hours into the extra-inning affair, Ramirez stepped up to the plate in the top of the 14th inning and belted a 396-foot home run to untie the score. The blast was Ramirez's 11th of the season -- six of which have come in July. After struggling mightily to begin the campaign, the 26-year-old has driven in 18 runs while hitting .338 (27-for-80) this month to lift his season slash line to .240/.318/.400 in 425 plate appearances.

Moncada went 1-for-4 with a home run and another run scored in Thursday's 10-3 loss to the Twins.

Moncada got the White Sox on the board with a solo homer off Jose Berrios in the second inning for his lone hit of the night. The 24-year-old has been enjoying a breakout campaign atop the White Sox lineup, slashing .299/.356/.526 with a career-high 19 homers, 57 RBI and 56 runs scored.

Devers went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two RBI, a walk and another run scored in Thursday's 19-3 rout of the Yankees.

Devers swatted a solo home run off Masahiro Tanaka in the fourth inning, then hit an RBI double in the sixth. The 22-year-old is now on a six-game hitting streak while tallying 31 RBI in July, which marks the most in a single month for a Red Sox player since Adrian Gonzalez (31) in 2011. Overall this season, Devers is slashing .323/.376/.569 with 21 home runs, 82 runs scored, 81 RBI and 31 doubles.

Rendon went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk Thursday against the the Rockies.

Rendon made his lone hit of the day count, as he took Jeff Hoffman deep in fifth inning for his 22nd homer of the campaign. He's continued his performance at the plate, smacking 10 extra-base hits in his last 11 games. For the season, he has an exceptional .314/.398/.613 line across 384 plate appearances.

McMahon went 2-for-3 with a home run, walk, three RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Nationals.

McMahon had a big day at the dish, highlighted by a two-run home run in the sixth inning. It was his 11th of the season -- his fourth on the road -- and fourth since July 14. After posting just a .632 OPS in June, McMahon is back on track in July, scoring 10 runs, driving in 13 and swiping two bases to go along with his power production. This season, McMahon is hitting .265/.334/.442 across 314 plate appearances.

Farmer (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Dayton on Thursday.

Farmer, who has been sidelined for a little more than a week with a concussion, has received the green light to begin the final stage of his recovery process after meeting with a doctor Thursday. The Reds have yet to specify how many rehab games Farmer will need to appear in before being cleared to return.

Peterson had his contract purchased from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Peterson will join the Orioles for the first time all season after posting a solid .312/.397/.512 slash line with 10 home runs and 13 stolen bases in 89 games with Triple-A Norfolk. Rio Ruiz was optioned to the minors in a corresponding move, leaving playing time open at the hot corner for Peterson should he carry his success with the Tides to the majors.

Farmer (concussion) will be re-evaluated by a doctor within the next couple of days before the Reds decide on his next step, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

One of three Cincinnati catchers on the injured list, Farmer looks to be further behind Tucker Barnhart (oblique) in his recovery but ahead of Curt Casali (knee). The concussion has kept Farmer on the shelf for just over a week, but he's believed to have made progress in his recovery in recent days. He'll likely be subjected to a battery of tests during his re-evaluation and could be cleared to begin a rehab assignment as soon as this weekend if the doctor determines the 28-year-old is no longer exhibiting any signs of the concussion.

Arenado is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

While Arenado isn't believed to be dealing with a nagging injury, he's been playing banged up over the past few weeks, which likely explains in part why he's slashing a lackluster .219/.286/.344 thus far in July. Arenado's fortunes didn't stand to improve much while matching up with three-time Cy Young winner Max Scherzer, so manager Bud Black will extend the franchise third baseman his second maintenance day in less than two weeks. Ryan McMahon will fill in for Arenado at the hot corner while Garrett Hampson enters the lineup at second base.

Senzel exited Wednesday's game against the Brewers after hitting a single due to dizziness. "First pitch I swung at, I just got dizzy," Senzel told C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic.

With Senzel, an "illness" is just as scary as a normal physical injury, because he has missed significant chunks of time at several points in his career due to vertigo. Senzel said he was unsure if this was related to his past vertigo issues, and in this case, a non-denial seems almost as bad as confirmation. He is day-to-day for now, but he could face a lengthier absence than if he were just dealing with a typical illness.
