Bregman went 2-for-5 with a run, four RBI, a walk and a strikeout in Thursday's 12-1 triumph over the Rangers.

Bregman walked in the third inning, singled home two and scored in the fourth and singled home two more in the sixth. The third baseman is now slashing .388/.426/.673 with 16 RBI in 13 games this month.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Phillies' Jean Segura: Trio of runs, RBI

Segura went 3-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored Thursday against the Cubs.

Segura was one of the main offensive contributors in the Phillies' 17-run offensive explosion Thursday. He did all of his damage on singles, and he has now collected multiple hits in five of his last 10 starts. In that span, he has eight RBI and nine runs scored. Overall, Segura has maintained a .298/.358/.443 line with 12 home runs, 72 runs scored and 53 RBI across 510 plate appearances on the season.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Slugs 13th homer

Longoria went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double Thursday against the Padres.

Longoria took Tim Hill yard in the eighth inning to record his 13th home run of the season. He's gotten hot at the plate of late, slugging three homers across his last six games while also racking up 12 RBI and four runs scored in that span. Overall, Longoria has maintained a .296/.390/.558 line across 241 plate appearances this season.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Hits 15th home run

Candelario went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Rays.

Candelario hit his 15th home run of the season in the ninth inning, continuing a recent power surge for the 27-year-old. He now has five home runs in 14 games this month, including two in a game Sunday. Candelario is getting closer to his career-high mark of 19 long balls in a season, which he set back in 2018.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Cubs' Matt Duffy: Homers again Thursday

Duffy went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Phillies.

The Cubs got clobbered 17-8, but Duffy was a bright spot with his second home run in as many days and fifth of the season. The infielder is looking to make a case for increased playing time down the stretch, and with a .310 batting average, four home runs and 10 RBI this month, said case is getting stronger.

  • Taylor Walls SS | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Takes seat Thursday

Walls isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers, radio broadcaster Steve Carney reports.

Walls went 1-for-3 with a run and a strikeout Wednesday but will be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Joey Wendle will shift to shortstop while Yandy Diaz starts at third base.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Heads to bench

LeMahieu will not start Thursday's game against Baltimore.

LeMahieu hits the bench after starting six straight games. Gio Urshela will slide back to third base, the position LeMahieu has occupied since the Yankees shuffled their infield at the start of the week, while Tyler Wade enters the lineup as the shortstop.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Remains on bench

Chapman (lower leg) isn't starting Thursday's game against the Royals.

Chapman hasn't appeared in any of the last three games as he continues to recover after fouling a ball off his left lower leg Saturday. Whether he's available off the bench remains to be seen, but he did some light running and fielding drills ahead of Thursday's game, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Josh Harrison will start at third base while Chad Pinder enters the lineup in right field.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: On bench Thursday

Moncada isn't starting Thursday's game against the Angels, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Moncada recorded hits in each of the last five games and went 6-for-17 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI and two RBI during that time. Romy Gonzalez will start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

  • Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL

Reds' Kyle Farmer: Swats 14th homer

Farmer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Pirates.

The shortstop took Sam Howard deep in the eighth inning to tie things up at 4-4, but Mychal Givens faltered in the ninth to keep the Reds tumbling down in the NL wild-card race with their fourth straight defeat. Farmer has set career highs with 14 homers, 52 runs and 55 RBI on the season, but his .256/.309/.403 slash line highlights his limitations as a hitter.
