  • Dodgers' Manny Machado: Smacks 36th homer

Machado went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer against the Padres on Saturday.

Machado took Jacob Nix deep in the third inning for his 36th home run of the season. The shot helped him reach 100 RBI for the first time in his career, and he is now just one home run shy of tying his career-best mark.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Takes seat vs. left-hander

Muncy is not in Friday's starting lineup against the Padres, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Muncy will get the night off with lefty Eric Lauer slated to take the mound for San Diego. David Freese is penciled into the lineup at first base and will bat fourth.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Smacks two-run homer

Rendon went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run, one run scored and three RBI on Thursday against the Mets.

Rendon took Jason Vargas deep in the fifth inning to record his 22nd home run of the season and third in his past four games. Though the Nationals' offense has taken a step back this season, Rendon continues to exhibit strong individual skills, hitting .304/.369/.522 across 496 at-bats this campaign.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Out of Thursday's lineup

Anderson is not in the lineup versus Cincinnati on Thursday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Anderson will receive a breather after going 1-for-8 with five strikeouts during a two-game set against the Nationals this week. Miguel Rojas will pick up a start at the hot corner for the series opener.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Remains on bench vs. lefty

Muncy is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Muncy will sit for a second straight game as the Rockies deploy another left-handed starter in Tyler Anderson. Cody Bellinger will cover first in this one, opening up a spot for Enrique Hernandez to start in center field.

  • Diamondbacks' Eduardo Escobar: Absent from Wednesday's lineup

Escobar is not in the lineup against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Escobar will head to the bench for a rare day off as manager Torey Lovullo decided to rest most of his starters with the Diamondbacks slipping out of playoff contention. Ildemaro Vargas will start at third base and bat second.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Heads to bench after homer

Muncy is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks and a three-run homer in Monday's series-opening win, but he'll retreat to the bench with a left-hander in Kyle Freeland toeing the rubber for the opposition. In his absence, David Freese will take over at first base and hit cleanup.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Takes seat Tuesday

Suarez is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.

Suarez will head to the bench after starting seven straight games at the hot corner, hitting just .160/.276/.280 with one homer and one RBI over that stretch. Brandon Dixon will cover third base and hit eighth in his place.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Situated on bench

Newman is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Royals.

Newman has started five of the last six games at shortstop, slashing .421/.400/.474 with three RBI over that stretch. He'll give way to Jordy Mercer up in the middle in this one, but the rookie is expected to see the lion's share of opportunities at shortstop down the stretch.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Homers in win

Longoria went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 4-2 win over the Padres.

Longoria currently leads all Giants with 16 homers despite missing six weeks with a broken hand. Outside of decent power totals, the veteran third baseman has otherwise been a disappointment from a fantasy perspective with a .249/.289/.429 slash line over 114 games.
