  • David Hamilton 3B | MIL

Brewers' David Hamilton: Could land on IL

Hamilton (hamstring) may require a trip to the injured list, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The team will likely hold off on making anything official until re-evaluating Hamilton on Tuesday morning. However, manager Pat Murphy stated after Monday's win that the club may need to make a roster move as a result of the 28-year-old's injury, especially with a doubleheader looming Tuesday.

Brewers' David Hamilton: Exits with hamstring tightness

Hamilton was removed from Monday's game against the Cardinals due to left hamstring tightness, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Hamilton drove a ball to the gap in the top of the seventh inning to plate a pair of runs, but he appeared to be in discomfort after putting on the brakes after rounding second base and scurrying back to the bag. He's presumably headed for further evaluation and can be considered day-to-day until the club has more information to share on the severity of his injury. Joey Ortiz would be in line for more work at the hot corner if Hamilton is forced to miss additional game action.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Mets' Bo Bichette: Drives in three in Sunday's win

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in Sunday's win over Atlanta.

The 28-year-old infielder continues to put a shaky start to his first season with the Mets behind him. Over 31 games since the beginning of June, Bichette is slashing .331/.358/.532 with 14 extra-base hits including five homers, 18 runs and 22 RBI.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Blasts 18th homer

Machado went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run, an additional run scored, a steal and three walks in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Dodgers.

Machado reached base four times, highlighted by a three-run shot to straightaway center field that extended the Padres' lead in the seventh inning. The third baseman has opened July going just 3-for-16 (.188), though each of those three hits has gone for extra bases, including two homers. The 34-year-old has shown off his power with 18 homers this season but has otherwise struggled, slashing .189/.282/.410 with 51 RBI, 44 runs and two stolen bases across 87 games.

  • Marlins' Leo Jimenez: Smacks homer in win

Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 9-8 win over the Athletics.

Jimenez went yard in the third inning off Gage Jump. Jimenez had started July going 0-for-9 over three games after hitting just .205 over 14 contests in June. He continues to occupy a part-time role in the Marlins' infield, and he hasn't shown enough consistency to carve out a larger share of playing time. Jimenez is hitting .202 with a .571 OPS, one homer, six RBI, 10 runs scored, four doubles and a stolen base over 114 plate appearances.

  • Kyle Karros 3B | COL

Rockies' Kyle Karros: Hits go-ahead homer

Karros went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Giants.

Karros delivered the go-ahead blast in the eighth inning, and it ended up being the decisive play of the game. Over his last 13 games, he's gone 14-for-39 (.359) with three homers and nine RBI. For the season, the third baseman is batting .263 with a .786 OPS, seven homers, 29 RBI, 44 runs scored, 16 doubles, two triples and three stolen bases over 86 contests.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Takes live ABs on Sunday

Hernandez (oblique) took live batting practice against rehabbing teammate Edwin Diaz (elbow) on Sunday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Hernandez's ability to face live pitching about five and a half weeks after suffering what the Dodgers termed as a "significant tear" of his left oblique represents a major step forward in his recovery process. The Dodgers will likely check back in with Hernandez on Monday before mapping out his next steps in the recovery process, but he could soon be ready to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment. Hernandez isn't on track to be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to the All-Star break but looks to have a shot at rejoining the Dodgers before the end of July.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: On bench vs. lefty

Muncy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Muncy is working against left-handed pitching more often this season and is excelling to the tune of a .939 OPS in 72 plate appearances, but he finds himself on the bench Sunday while southpaw JP Sears takes the mound for San Diego. Miguel Rojas is starting at the hot corner for the Dodgers in the series finale.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado: Given afternoon off

Arenado is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

The freshly recalled Tim Tawa will draw the start at third base while Arenado rests for the series finale. Arenado will hit the bench for the first time since May 30, ending a streak of 31 consecutive starts.

  • Blaze Jordan 3B | STL

Cardinals' Blaze Jordan: Sitting for second straight game

Jordan is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Jose Fermin will make a second consecutive start at third base over Jordan, whose grasp on an everyday role appears to be loosening. Before busting out for three hits and scoring three runs in a 17-1 romp Friday, Jordan had gone just 2-for-21 over his prior eight starts. He's slashing .246/.265/.377 overall since receiving a promotion from Triple-A Memphis on June 12.
