  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Begins baseball activities

Lewis (hamstring) has taken on-field batting practice since Thursday and fielded groundballs in defensive drills Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Lewis is demonstrating some signs of progress since he suffered a left hamstring strain March 16. It's not clear when he may begin a rehab assignment, but he could be on track to return from the 10-day injured list in early May.

  • Andy Ibanez 3B | DET

Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Records two hits, two RBI in win

Ibanez went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's 9-1 win over the Brewers.

This was the first multi-hit game of the year for Ibanez, who's been scuffling a bit overall with a .185 batting average. The utility player batted .241 during the regular season for the Tigers in 2024 and .264 the year prior, so he should be able to continue to trend upward in that category.

  • Royals' Jonathan India: Back in action Monday

India (quadricep) will serve as the Royals' designated hitter and leadoff batter in Monday's game against the Yankees.

He'll re-enter starting nine after he sat out his first game of the season in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Guardians while tending to right quad tightness. The Royals will ease India back into the lineup in a non-defensive role, but he should be ready to resume playing in left field or at third base within the next few days.

  • Will Wagner 2B | SD

Blue Jays' Will Wagner: Absent from lineup

Wagner is out of the lineup for Monday's game versus Atlanta.

It's the first time this season that Wagner is not in the lineup against a right-handed pitcher. Ernie Clement will handle third base and bat fifth versus Atlanta hurler Grant Holmes.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Homers in win

Caminero went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over Atlanta.

Caminero's three run-homer in the sixth inning was his second long ball in as many days. The 21-year-old is off to a solid start at the plate, slashing .280/.315/.500 with three long balls, seven RBI and nine runs scored across 54 plate appearances. He also leads the majors in average bat speed, clocking in at an impressive 78.6 mph in the early going.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Astros' Isaac Paredes: Homers in third straight game

Paredes went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Paredes took Kyle Hendricks deep to cap off a five-run second inning. It was Paredes' third straight game with a home run after a 12-game drought to begin the year. He owns a .276/.382/.448 slash line with four extra-base hits and nine RBI through 68 plate appearances.

  • Jose Caballero 2B | NYY

Rays' Jose Caballero: Swipes two bags in win

Caballero went 1-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, one run scored and two steals in Sunday's 8-3 win over Atlanta.

Caballero was a thorn in Atlanta's side throughout the game, driving in a run in the first inning, scoring in the fourth and notching his first multi-steal effort of the season. The 28-year-old is off to a hot start in 2025, slashing .333/.455/.556 with a home run, eight RBI, three runs scored and five steals across 33 plate appearances.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Collects three hits

Garcia went 3-for-4 with a two-run double in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

Garcia singled twice, but his most important hit was a go-ahead two-run double in the fifth inning. It was his first extra-base knock since April 4 and his fourth multi-hit performance of the season. Garcia is now slashing .300/.321/.500 with six extra-base hits and nine RBI through 15 games.

  • Ernie Clement SS | TOR

Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Four hits, stolen base in win

Clement went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Orioles.

Clement snapped out of a 1-for-22 slump to open April with a breakout performance Sunday, also notching his first stolen base of the season. The 29-year-old has appeared in 15 of the Blue Jays' 16 games this season, but he's hitting a disappointing .194 with four RBI, three runs scored and a steal across 42 plate appearances.

  • Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: Getting third straight start

Mastrobuoni will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Mastrobuoni will stick in the lineup for a fourth straight game and will make his third consecutive start at the hot corner while Jorge Polanco (side) is limited to DH duties. Polanco is believed to be at least one or two weeks away from being ready to play the field, so Mastrobuoni could continue to benefit from extra opportunities. The 29-year-old is hitting .316 through his first 10 games with the Mariners, but he hasn't provided much help in the counting categories (zero home runs, one stolen base, three runs and zero RBI).
