  • Orioles' Manny Machado: Drives in two Saturday

Machado went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Marlins.

Machado put Baltimore on the board with his two-run single in the third inning, but it wouldn't be enough for the Orioles to snap their nine-game losing streak. Despite his .227/.308/.364 line through 12 games this month, Machado is still slashing an impressive .308/.377/.570 with 18 homers and 52 RBI this season.

Twins' Royce Lewis: Dealing with minor knee issue

Lewis exited Saturday's minor-league game with a knee injury that is not believed to be serious, Jeff Johnson of The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports.

Lewis has apparently been dealing with the issue recently and aggravated it Saturday. Doctors have already evaluated the 19-year-old and determined there's nothing structurally wrong with his knee. Lewis recently returned to action after missing a couple of games with a leg injury.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Heading for further evaluation on hand

Chapman will get further evaluation of his hand injury Monday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

An MRI had previously revealed no structural damage, but Chapman was nevertheless placed on the disabled list Friday. The fact that he's getting further evaluation is potentially a bad sign, though the severity of his injury should become a lot clearer following the visit.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Royals' Mike Moustakas: Drives in three in loss

Moustakas went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBI in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Moustakas accounted for all of the Royals' run production Friday, slashing a two-run double -- his 17th two-bagger of the year -- off Charlie Morton in the third inning and later walking with the bases loaded in the fifth. Moustakas is hitting .259/.315/.477 with 13 home runs and 33 runs scored, and his 45 RBI rank third among all MLB third basemen.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Hits ninth home run Friday

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's win over the Royals.

Bregman took starter Jake Junis deep in the fourth inning for his ninth homer of the year. Bregman has recorded a hit in all but one game so far in June, but his average hasn't moved much at all since most of the efforts have been one-hit games. The 24-year-old still has a healthy slash line of .262/.373/.450 with 20 doubles, 34 RBI and 39 runs scored, all while striking out only 12.4 percent of the time.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Homers in latest multi-hit effort

Segura went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Seattle's 7-6 victory over Boston on Friday.

Segura only had five home runs on the season coming into this contest, but the 28-year-old shortstop showed he's still got some pop with this first-inning blast off Rick Porcello. It was nice to see him leave the yard, but the relatively low home-run total hadn't really been detracting from Segura's fantasy value at all. He's been on what seems like a season-long tear, to the tune of a .344 batting average, a .493 slugging percentage and 14 stolen bases.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Lands on disabled list

Chapman (hand) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The move was far from unexpected after Chapman was held out of Friday's game against the Angels. Despite the fact an MRI earlier in the day revealed no structural damage, Chapman was likely projected to miss several games anyhow, which presumably helped cement the decision. Franklin Barreto was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move, but Chad Pinder is expected to be the primary beneficiary of Chapman's absence.

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Could land on DL

Manager Bob Melvin said and MRI revealed no structural damage but Chapman (hand) could be placed on the 10-day disabled list in the coming days, Julian McWilliams of The Athletic reports.

Chapman was left out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Angels after suffering a hand contusion at some point during the series versus Houston this week. The club will have a couple days to decide what to do with Chapman since a stint on the DL can be backdated up to three days. Expect Chad Pinder to receive a majority of the starts at third base if Chapman winds up missing an extended period of time.

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Not in Friday's lineup

Chapman (hand) is out of the lineup against the Angels on Friday, Julian McWilliams of The Athletic reports.

Chapman will hit the bench after being diagnosed with a hand contusion Thursday, though results from his scheduled MRI on Friday have yet to be revealed. Consider him day-to-day for the time being while Chad Pinder gets a start at third base in his stead.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Won't be activated Friday

Donaldson (calf) will not be activated from the disabled list Friday, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.

Donaldson ran the bases Thursday but still needs some more running so that he can "be competitive when he returns," according to general manager Ross Atkins. His return date is not yet known.
