  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Goes for extra bases in win

Duffy went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in a win over the Mariners on Friday.

Duffy laced his fourth double of the season -- his first extra-base hit since July 30 -- off Marco Gonzales in the win. The veteran infielder has yet to go deep since finally making his season debut July 23, but he's hitting a solid .265 over the first 12 games in which he's recorded at least one official at-bat.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Sitting Saturday

Devers is not in Saturday's lineup against the Angels.

He is hitting .306/.336/.628 with eight home runs in 28 games since the All-Star break. Michael Chavis will start at third base while Brock Holt will man the keystone.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Stays hot in win

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Cleveland has now climbed into a tie atop the AL Central with Minnesota, and Ramirez has been a big factor in that surge up the standings. The 26-year-old has an eight-game hitting streak going, slashing .448/.500/.897 with two homers, two steals, eight RBI and eight runs over that stretch.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Goes deep in big win

Devers went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 16-4 victory over the Angels.

Devers knocked home a pair of runs in the sixth inning on a single to right field, and he smacked a solo home run over the fence in right to close out his night. The 22-year-old continues to impress at the dish this season, as he's now slashing .319/.366/.567 with 24 homers, 90 RBI and eight stolen bases over 115 contests.

  • Blue Jays' Jordan Groshans: Shut down for season

Groshans (foot) has been shut down for the rest of the season, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

He was in the midst of a breakout season but an undisclosed left foot injury limited him to just 23 games for Low-A Lansing. In that time, he hit .337/.427/.482 with two home runs and one steal in 96 plate appearances. Groshans has a chance to develop into a five-category fantasy contributor on the left side of the infield. If he really impresses in spring training, it's possible he could open the year at High-A, but he will likely head back to the Midwest League to begin 2020.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Pounds pair of homers in victory

Urshela went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Thursday's win over the Blue Jays.

The red-hot third baseman got the Yankees on the board with a two-run shot in the first inning, then replicated the feat with another long ball in the third. The performance was Urshela's second straight three-hit, two-homer, four-RBI effort and marked the third consecutive game in which he has left the yard. In his first season with the Yankees, the 27-year-old has come from nowhere to post an astonishing .323/.367/.568 slash line with 16 homers and 59 RBI in 330 plate appearances.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Collects another multi-hit game

LeMahieu went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI while scoring twice in Thursday's win over Toronto.

LeMahieu led off the game with a double and came around to score on Gio Urshela's home run, then singled and scored on another long ball by Urshela in the third. He later plated a pair of runs with a single in the sixth inning. The multi-hit effort was his fourth in a torrid August in which LeMahieu has batted .406 (13-for-32) with three homers and eight RBI over eight games.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Tees off on Orioles for three XBH

Urshela (leg) went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and four RBI in the Yankees' 14-2 win over the Orioles on Wednesday.

Returning to the lineup for the first time in three days after he battled some leg soreness, Urshela looked plenty healthy en route to becoming the 11th Yankees player this season to turn in a multi-homer performance against Baltimore. The cushy matchup at Camden Yards certainly helped Urshela, but the third baseman has more than held his own under higher-caliber competition this season. With a .910 OPS to go along with serviceable defense, Urshela has been an even better asset at the hot corner than the injured Miguel Andujar (shoulder) was during a banner rookie campaign in 2018.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Smacks two homers in doubleheader

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and two runs overall in the nightcap of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rangers.

Ramirez entered the day with a .993 OPS and seven home runs in 24 games since the All-Star break, and he took advantage of the twin bill to further improve those numbers. The 26-year-old also provided a two-run homer during the matinee, which proved to be the lone runs of the contest.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Back in action

Urshela (leg) is starting at third base and hitting third Wednesday against the Orioles, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Urshela has been cleared to rejoin the starting lineup after missing the past two games with a bruised leg, which he suffered after fouling a ball off his leg twice over the weekend. The corner infielder has been dialed in at the dish since the All-Star break, slashing .348/.375/.696 with five home runs and nine doubles in 20 games. He'll face lefty John Means in his first game back.
