Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Doubles in loss
Devers went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Blue Jays.
The double was Devers' MLB-leading 50th, and he becomes the youngest Red Sox player ever to reach the 50-double mark in a season. The 22-year-old has cooled a bit in September but still owns an impressive line overall, slashing .314/.365/.565 over 141 games.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Collects three hits Tuesday
Candelario went 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 12-11 win over the Yankees.
Everyone was hitting for Detroit in this one, as the Tigers rattled off 16 hits as a team. Candelario is batting just .202 this season, but the rebuilding Tigers figure to give the 25-year-old plenty of opportunities down the stretch as they turn their attention to 2020. Candelario has recently picked up more starts at first base with Dawel Lugo emerging as the primary option at third.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Gets night off
LeMahieu isn't starting Tuesday's game against Detroit, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Belts 35th homer
Bregman went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and a walk Monday in the Astros' 15-0 win over the Athletics.
Bregman turned in one of the more muted box-score lines among Houston hitters in the 21-1 victory over the Mariners on Sunday, but he played a more prominent part in the Astros' second straight blowout win. His 35th home run of the season was one of seven the Astros slugged on the night, with five of those coming off Oakland starter Mike Fiers. Dating back to the beginning of August, Bregman is slashing .414/.497/.781 in 151 plate appearances, with his 235 wRC+ over that stretch, leading all qualified hitters in the majors.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Yankees' Gio Urshela: Goes deep in win
Urshela went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in a victory over Boston on Monday.
In his first start since returning from a stint on the 10-day injured list, Urshela showed that the time off did not cool down his hot bat, smashing a pair of extra-base hits including his 19th long ball of the season. The 27-year-old has been one of the most pleasant surprises in baseball in 2019, slashing .332/.370/.563 with 33 doubles and 68 RBI in 419 plate appearances.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Astros' Abraham Toro: Scores three times in blowout
Toro went 2-for-5 with two doubles, a walk and three runs Sunday in the Astros' 21-1 win over the Mariners.
While making his third straight start at third base, Toro turned in the most productive all-around line of his young MLB career. Toro's slash line now sits at .234/.345/.447 (115 wRC+) through 14 games, but he could still be at risk of losing out on work at the hot corner within the next few days if primary first baseman Yuli Gurriel (hamstring) re-enters the lineup. Gurriel's return would result in utility man Aledmys Diaz moving off first base and challenging Toro for work at third.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Moves to leadoff
Moncada batted leadoff and went 1-for-4 with a double in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Angels.
Moncada moved to the top of the order with Tim Anderson getting the day off. Anderson had been batting leadoff while Leury Garcia (personal) was away from the team. Normalcy should return Tuesday when Garcia is due back. For Moncada, normalcy means hitting cleanup, where he'd batted 15 straight games prior to Garcia's three-game hiatus.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Yankees' Gio Urshela: Rejoins Yankees Sunday
Urshela (groin) was activated off the 10-day injured list Sunday.
Urshela landed on the injured list Aug. 29 with the groin strain and will return to the Yankees after spending the 10-day minimum on the shelf. The 27-year-old may have a lighter workload for the stretch run since the team has the benefit of expanded rosters.

Bregman's sixth-inning blast tied the game before the Astros pushed across the go-ahead run in the seventh. The home run was Bregman's 34th and gave him 100 RBI. This is the second straight year he's hit at least 30 homers with 100 RBI.
