Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Lifts homer in Friday's win
Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Friday's 5-2 win over the White Sox.
Ramirez's power has largely been absent in August -- he has only two home runs and three doubles through 18 contests this month. He's started to pick up his run production pace again though, logging at least one RBI in six of his last eight games. The superstar third baseman has a .283/.354/.542 slash line with 23 homers, 99 RBI, 67 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 115 contests this year.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Smacks homer in slugfest
Urias went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a hit by pitch in Friday's 15-10 win over the Red Sox.
Urias delivered his first homer in 10 games when he led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a solo shot. He's hit safely in eight games during that span, though he's produced just two multi-hit efforts while going 10-for-37 (.270). The third baseman is up to a .248/.290/.423 slash line with 13 homers, 44 RBI, 40 runs scored, one stolen base and 15 doubles through 88 contests this year.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Angels' Matt Duffy: Kicks off rehab assignment
Duffy (back) has gone 1-for-10 with three strikeouts over three games in a rehab stint with Triple-A Salt Lake.
Duffy kicked off the rehab assignment Tuesday and has thus far played one game each at first base, third base and DH. The veteran hasn't played in a big-league game since June 26, when he was pulled from a contest against Seattle with lower back tightness. Duffy isn't eligible to be activated until next weekend, so he'll likely continue logging at-bats with the Triple-A club in the meantime.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Back in action Friday
Candelario (illness) is starting Friday against the Angels.
Candelario was removed from Wednesday's lineup against the Guardians due to a non-COVID illness, but he'll start at third base and bat eighth Friday. Over his last five games, he's gone just 1-for-18 with six strikeouts.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Slugs seventh homer
Moncada went 1-for-3 with two walks and a three-run home run Thursday against the Astros.
Moncada was one of the few bright spots for the White Sox on Thursday as he delivered his seventh home run of the season. He's collected at least one hit in seven of his last eight games, maintaining a .267 average with seven RBI and three runs scored in that span. Moncada is still slashing a dreadful .202/.271/.327 across 299 plate appearances on the season.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Massive effort against White Sox
Bregman went 4-for-6 with two home runs, two doubles, six RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base Thursday against the White Sox.
Bregman played a key role in the Astros 21-run outburst and has tallied four multi-RBI performances in his last eight starts. He's also collected a hit in 14 of his last 16 games since the start of August, maintaining a .397 average with five home runs, 17 RBI and 17 runs scored in that span. Bregman's hot stretch has bumped his slash line to .264/.367/.472 across 488 plate appearances on the season.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Bound for minors
The Royals optioned Garcia to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.
With Kansas City welcoming Hunter Dozier (personal) back from the paternity list, Garcia will head down to the minors to play on a more regular basis. Across multiple brief stints in the big leagues this season, Garcia has gone 7-for-22 with two RBI and a run over nine games.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Returning to action Thursday
LeMahieu (toe) is starting at second base and batting leadoff Thursday against the Blue Jays.
The 34-year-old sat out the last three games after exiting Sunday's contest with inflammation in his right big toe, but he appeared as a pinch hitter Wednesday and is now back in the starting nine. LeMahieu was mired in a 1-for-18 slump prior to the absence and will look to get back on track after receiving a couple days off to get healthy.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Two RBI, two runs in win
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and a hit-by-pitch in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Tigers.
Ramirez was plunked and scored the opening run in the third inning. The star third baseman then stepped up in an eighth-inning rally, with his two-run double being the go-ahead hit. He's struggled a bit in August, batting .242 with one home run, though he's added 14 RBI and six runs scored in 17 contests. For the season, Ramirez is slashing .281/.351/.534 with 22 homers, 98 RBI, 65 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 493 plate appearances.

Jonah Bride 3B | TEX
Athletics' Jonah Bride: Takes seat Thursday
Bride is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rangers.
Sheldon Neuse will pick up a start in the infield in place of Bride, who went 2-for-12 with three walks and two RBI while cracking the lineup in each of the past four games at either second base or first base. With Seth Brown seeing more time in the outfield of late with Ramon Laureano (oblique) on the injured list and with veterans Jed Lowrie, Stephen Piscotty and Elvis Andrus having recently been released, Bride should have a fairly clear path to a near-everyday role the rest of the way.
