Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Snaps hitless skid
Devers went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI and a second run scored in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Tigers.
Devers had gone 13 plate appearances without recording a hit before his fourth-inning solo shot snapped the string of futility. The homer was his second of the season. Despite that hit drought Devers has been productive at the dish, going 10-for-31 with three doubles, two homers and four RBI while scoring seven runs in seven contests.

Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH
Tigers' Tyler Nevin: Activated and optioned
Nevin was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and optioned to Triple-A Toledo, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Nevin went 11-for-18 on his rehab assignment, showing no ill effects of the oblique injury which landed him on the injured list to begin the season. He should get a shot with the big club eventually, but for now he'll get playing time with Toledo.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Athletics' Jace Peterson: Records first steal in loss
Peterson went 0-for-3 with a stolen base in an extra-inning loss to the Guardians on Wednesday.
Peterson got on board via a fielder's choice bunt in the first inning and stole second for his first swipe of the season. The veteran recorded back-to-back double-digit steal tallies in Milwaukee the last two years, so there's some modest upside there fantasy-wise. However, Peterson has gotten his A's tenure off to a sluggish start otherwise, with a three-run home run against Cleveland on Monday his only hit across 16 plate appearances thus far.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Sitting with sore foot
Moncada fouled a ball off his foot during Wednesday's game against the Giants, but his absence from Thursday's series finale is viewed simply as a rest day, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Moncada might still be a little sore, but it sounds like he was going to sit this one out regardless. He should be back in there on Friday in Pittsburgh. Hanser Alberto is covering the hot corner in his place Thursday.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Batting cleanup Thursday
Burger is batting cleanup as the designated hitter for the White Sox in Thursday's game versus the Giants.
The 26-year-old is slated to see regular starts against lefties while Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) is sidelined, and he's in the heart of the order Thursday versus southpaw Alex Wood. Burger played in 51 big-league games last season had a .760 OPS with eight home runs.

Ryan Kreidler SS | MIN
Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: Making third straight start
Kreidler is starting at second base and batting ninth for the Tigers in Thursday's home opener versus the Red Sox.
It's the third straight start for Kreidler, with two of them coming at second base and one at shortstop. One of those starts came against a righty, but for the most part he seems to be in a short-side platoon with Zach McKinstry. Kreidler is 2-for-11 at the plate so far this season.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Knocks in three
Jung went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Orioles.
Jung extended the Rangers' advantage to 2-0 with an RBI single in the first inning and gave Texas the lead in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run homer, his second long ball of the season. The 2019 first-round pick now has a hit in five straight games, including an extra-base knock in three of his last four.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Injury not expected to be serious
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Phillies that Donaldson's right hamstring injury isn't expected to be too serious, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Donaldson could still undergo an MRI, which would reveal more about the severity of his injury. At this juncture, though, the team doesn't seem to be fearing an extended absence. The Yankees are off Thursday before starting a weekend series in Baltimore.

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Dealing with hamstring tightness
Donaldson exited Wednesday's game against the Phillies due to right hamstring tightness, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.
The Yankees will re-evaluate Donaldson on Thursday. Thursday's game in Baltimore has already been postponed, so the third baseman presumably has a shot at returning for New York's next contest Friday.
