Escobar (groin) will be activated from the disabled list Monday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Escobar played three rehab games with High-A Fort Myers over the weekend, and it appears that was all the Twins needed to see before adding him back to the active roster. The team figures to confirm Escobar's activation and announce the corresponding roster move at some point prior to Monday's matchup with the Royals.

Longoria went 2-for-4 in Sunday's loss to the Tigers, extending his hitting streak to 10 games.

He's hitting .357 (15-for-42) over the course of the streak, pushing Longoria's slash line for May to a robust .306/.363/.569 with four home runs, 10 RBI and 13 runs scored.

Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday at the Twins.

Donaldson launched his 11th homer of the season to give the Blue Jays a two-run lead in the first inning of the game they'd go on to win. After not homering in 16 games, he's now left the yard in two of his last three contests to raise his slugging percentage to .517.

Muncy went 2-for-3 in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Yankees.

The 25-year-old notched his first start since being called up from Triple-A Nashville on May 17, and responded with a pair of singles on an afternoon when the A's bats were largely silenced by Masahiro Tanaka. The productive performance is an extension of the solid resume that Muncy was building to date this season at the minor league level, as he'd slashed .279/.399/.459 over 122 at-bats in his Triple-A stint.

Alvarez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

He'll rest for the second time in three games, allowing Ryan Flaherty to get his second consecutive start at the hot corner. Alvarez would normally start against a right-hander, but after a 0-for-4 showing Saturday, manager Buck Showalter elected to give him the day off for what appears to be regular maintenance. It's fair to question if this is performance-related, however, as Alvarez has just six base hits in the month of May, bringing his average below the Mendoza Line to .191 on the year.

Escobar (hamstring) is 4-for-8 in two rehab games for High-A Fort Myers.

Barring a setback, Escobar looks set to be activated Monday from the 15-day DL.

Longoria went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday at the Tigers.

Longoria's ninth blast tied the game at one in the sixth inning of a game the Rays would go on to lose. He's now hit safely in nine straight games, and he's slashing .258/.303/.485.

Donaldson went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Friday's 9-3 victory over the Twins.

The 30-year-old has endured a forgettable stretch at the plate, with Friday's long ball marking his first home run since May 1. It was only Donaldson's second multi-hit game of May, and his slash line for the month is just.197/.305/.324.

Moustakas (thumb) is back in the lineup Saturday, batting second and playing third base.

The Royals will get their regular third baseman back Saturday after Moustakas missed the minimum 15 days on the DL due to a fractured thumb. His return will effectively negate Cheslor Cuthbert's role on the active roster for the time being. No corresponding move has been made following Moustakas' activation.

Machado went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, three runs and a walk against the Angels on Friday.

Machado's 12th home run of the season came in the first inning, and he later scored the run that would put the Orioles ahead for good in the seventh. His multi-hit effort broke a 2-for-24 slump, though he's still slashing .323/.383/1.024 this year.
