Segura (hamstring) was placed on the disabled list Tuesday.

Segura suffered a strained hamstring after diving back to first base in Monday's game. The team has yet to outline an estimated return or elaborate on the severity of the injury, but more information should be available soon. In a corresponding move, Seattle designated Paul Fry for assignment and selected Mike Freeman's contract from Triple-A Tacoma.

Donaldson is still experiencing lingering calf soreness, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet reports.

Manager John Gibbons is entertaining the idea of using Donaldson as a pinch hitter, but is taking the necessary steps to avoid aggravating his calf ailment. There hasn't been any indication that Donaldson will require a stint on the DL, so he should still be considered day-to-day.

Donaldson (calf) is available from the bench Tuesday against the Brewers, TV broadcaster Hazel Mae reports.

After being injured Sunday, There had been some hope that Donaldson would be able to return to the lineup for Tuesday's game, but the Blue Jays have opted to be cautious with the star third baseman. Donaldson should return to the lineup in the near future, but consider him day-to-day until then.

Owners can't really complain, though, considering he's off to a blazing start. Moustakas is 8-for-23 (.348) while hitting safely in every game so far, including Saturday's contest in which he singled in his only at-bat as a pinch hitter.

Donaldson tweaked his calf during Sunday's game against the Rays and was forced to leave early, but his condition seems to be headed in the right direction. In addition to saying that his injury is fairly minor, Donaldson will be aided by Toronto having Monday off, giving him an extra day to recover.
