Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Three more hits Sunday
Torres went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, two RBI and two additional runs scored in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Astros.
Torres has hits in six straight games, including four multi-hit efforts, going 12-for-22 (.545 average) with two long balls and five extra-base hits in that span. The 26-year-old second-baseman opened the scoring Sunday with an opposite-field homer off Jose Urquidy in the opening inning before driving in another run with a double in the sixth. Torres is now slashing .270/.335/.450 with 18 home runs, 64 runs scored, 48 RBI and nine stolen bases across 468 plate appearances this season.

Jake Alu LF | WAS
Nationals' Jake Alu: On base three times Sunday
Alu went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Reds.
The 26-year-old has started four of five games since his latest promotion -- two at third base and two at second -- and gone 5-for-14 with a double, two runs, five RBI and two steals. The starting jobs at both infield spots are up for grabs on the rebuilding Nats, so if Alu keeps producing, it could only be a matter of the coaching staff deciding where it likes him better defensively before he settles into an everyday role. He would seem to have little left to prove in the minors -- through 133 games at Triple-A Rochester the last two years, he's slashed .308/.365/.481 with 16 homers and 22 steals.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Draws three walks
Julien went 1-for-1 with three walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks.
Julien batted out of the leadoff spot for a second straight game and looked very comfortable. In those two games, he went 4-for-6 with three walks and just one strikeout. Julien has been a welcome addition to the Twins' lineup after he was up and down with the big club earlier in the season. Since being called back up June 10, the 24-year-old is slashing .330/.433/.540 with six homers, 10 RBI, 26 runs and a 22:46 BB:K over 161 plate appearances.

Davis Schneider LF | TOR
Blue Jays' Davis Schneider: Continues torrid start to career
Schneider went 4-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 13-1 victory over the Red Sox.
After forcing his way to the big leagues by hitting 21 homers with a .416 OBP in Triple-A, Schneider has begun his big-league career on a tear. The 2017 28th-round pick was moved up to third in the batting order in place of a resting Vladimir Guerrero and delivered with four hits, including his second home run. Schneider now has nine hits -- an MLB record for the modern era in a player's first three games -- to go along with those two homers and five RBI. While that pace is obviously unsustainable, the Blue Jays will find a way to consistently include him in their lineup provided he continues to produce.

Nick Gonzales 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Heads back to minors
The Pirates optioned Gonzales to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday.
Gonzales lost his spot on the 26-man active roster when the Pirates needed to make room for first baseman Alfonso Rivas, whom the team acquired from the Padres on Tuesday. Before the demotion to Triple-A, Gonzales had already seemingly lost hold of a regular role in the middle infield, as Liover Peguero and Alika Williams emerged as the Bucs' primary options at second base and shortstop, respectively. Gonzales turned in a .216/.268/.353 with two home runs and no stolen bases over 112 plate appearances with Pittsburgh in his first stint in the big leagues.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Goes yard again in win
Lowe went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Tigers.
Lowe continues to terrorize opposing pitchers with his fifth home run over his last 10 games. The 28-year-old is still hitting just .226 on the year but has been showcasing tremendous power potential as of late. Lowe has typically been slotting in at the three spot against righties and will look to continue his momentum with the Rays lined up to face five right-handers in the upcoming week.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Racks up three hits in loss
Albies went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Cubs.
He's hit safely in all five of his games in August, going 8-for-22 (.364) in that span. Albies has tallied five extra-base hits in that span. The second baseman continues to hit well in the top half of Atlanta's order -- he's sporting a .261/.321/.508 slash line with 25 home runs, 77 RBI, 67 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 109 contests this season.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Registers steal Sunday
Hoerner went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 6-4 win over Atlanta.
While Hoerner was held hitless for the second game in a row, he was able to pick up his sixth steal in his last 14 games. In that span, he's batting .300 (18-for-60) with eight extra-base hits. The infielder is up to 27 steals in 30 attempts this year while slashing .272/.329/.394 with eight home runs, 58 RBI and 67 runs scored across 103 contests.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Dealing with quad tightness
Marte was lifted from Sunday's game against the Twins with left quadricep tightness, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
The 29-year-old went 0-for-3 before being replaced by Geraldo Perdomo during the bottom of the fifth inning. Marte will have Monday's team off day to aid in his recovery prior to Tuesday's series opener against the Dodgers.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Productive in win
Semien went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Marlins.
Semien has homered three times during his seven-game hitting streak, a span in which he's gone 10-for-27 (.370). The second baseman also notched his first steal since July 3, giving him 10 thefts on the year. For the season, he's slashing a strong .281/.350/.469 with 18 homers, 71 RBI, 92 runs scored, 29 doubles and two triples over 112 contests as the Rangers' main leadoff hitter.
