Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Supplies only offense Monday
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.
Gorman's fifth-inning blast tied the game at 1-1, but that was the Cardinals' lone scoring play. Over his last 13 games, the second baseman has gone 14-for-46 (.304) with two homers, nine RBI and 21 strikeouts. He's up to 19 long balls, 50 RBI, 41 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .206/.278/.424 slash line on the year, though he remains in the lineup regularly despite his swing-and-miss issues.

Zack Gelof 3B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Swipes bag in win
Gelof went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 4-0 win over the Astros.
Gelof has gone 1-for-15 over four games since the All-Star break, but he was able to make something of his one time on the bases Monday. The second baseman started July well but is now hitting just .172 this month. He's up to 12 steals, 12 home runs, 34 RBI, 37 runs scored and a .197/.261/.364 slash line through 80 contests overall.

Colt Keith 3B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: Homers in win
Keith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-2 win over the Guardians.
Keith continued his breakout July, tallying his sixth home run of the month in the ninth inning. Since July 3, he has seen his season batting average rise from .229 to .251, and he has 10 homers, 38 RBI, 38 runs scored and five steals across 330 plate appearances.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Starting at second base Monday
Lux is starting at second base and batting eighth in Monday's series opener against the Giants.
Despite San Francisco sending southpaw Blake Snell to the mound Monday, the lefty-hitting Lux will get the start at second base with Miguel Rojas (forearm) unavailable, limiting the Dodgers' platoon options. With Lux at the keystone, Enrique Hernandez will shift over to shortstop while Chris Taylor starts at the hot corner.

Tommy Edman LF | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Resuming rehab Wednesday
Edman (wrist) is expected to resume his rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield on Tuesday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Edman played four rehab games with Springfield from July 9 through 14 but has missed the last week of action due to lingering ankle soreness. He'll go through a workout Tuesday, and assuming all goes well, he'll return to game action Wednesday as Springfield's designated hitter. Edman has yet to play the field and will need to show he can handle multiple positions with no concerns before he's ready for his season debut with the Cardinals.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Royals' Adam Frazier: Moves into everyday role
Frazier will start at second base and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Though the versatile Frazier doesn't appear to have a permanent home at any one position, he's settled into an everyday role atop the batting order for Kansas City with MJ Melendez (ankle) landing on the injured list over the All-Star break. Frazier will serve as the Royals' table setter for the eighth straight contest, despite slashing an underwhelming .167/.259/.292 over the prior seven games.

David Hensley 1B | DET
Astros' David Hensley: Jettisoned off 40-man roster
The Astros designated Hensley for assignment Monday.
The transaction opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for utility man Aledmys Diaz, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Sugar Land. After reaching the big leagues for the first time in 2022, Hensley made two starts for the Astros' World Series-winning club later that fall, but he's struggled to stick around in the majors ever since. The 28-year-old posted a lowly .380 OPS over 94 plate appearances with Houston in 2023 and had spent the entire 2024 season at Sugar Land, with whom he slashed .234/.352/.376 with seven home runs and 17 stolen bases over 81 games before being designated for assignment.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Retreats to bench
Julien is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.
Following his promotion from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Julien started at second base for both games of the Twins' series with the Brewers, going 1-for-4 with a pair of walks. Though he should have a regular spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching while the Twins are without Royce Lewis (groin) and Carlos Correa (heel), the lefty-hitting Julien will likely sit frequently against left-handers. Julien will cede the keystone to Brooks Lee on Monday while the Twins take on southpaw Ranger Suarez.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Another strong performance Sunday
Lux went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double, a steal, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.
Lux began his night with an RBI double in the first inning and then added a solo shot in the fourth, extending his extra-base streak to four straight at-bats with two doubles and two long balls. Over his last seven games, the 26-year-old is slashing .429/.455/.952 and has raised his OPS above .600 for the first time all season. Lux is slashing .225/.276/.333 with five homers, 27 RBI, 31 runs and a 19:60 BB:K in 286 plate appearances.
