Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Moves to shortstop
Duran started at shortstop and went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 8-0 win over the Astros.
Duran, who had been filling in for injured second baseman Josh Smith (thigh/wrist/illness), has been shifted to shortstop the last three games with Corey Seager (back) unavailable. Seager is headed back to Texas for an MRI, and Duran should be in the lineup most days with the Rangers' middle infield sidelined.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Finding power stroke in May
Stott went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 6-0 win over Pittsburgh.
Following an abysmal start to the season at the plate, during which he posted a .534 OPS through April, Stott is certainly finding his groove in May. Sunday marked his fourth homer of the month, and he's hit safely in 11 of his last 16 games. Stott is batting .250 with nine extra-base hits, 16 RBI and four stolen bases over 56 at-bats during that stretch, raising his season OPS to .653, and the door is open for the infielder to work his way up Philadelphia's batting order a bit.

Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA
Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Steals two bases in loss
Edwards went 2-for-5 with one RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Rays.
Edwards had an active third inning, driving in a run, swiping second base and then scoring later in the frame. The 26-year-old also notched his first multi-steal effort of the year, and he's now hit safely in eight of his past 10 games with two home runs, four RBI and nine runs scored during that stretch. For the year, he's slashing .318/.404/.468 with four homers, 16 RBI, 33 runs scored and six stolen bases across 199 plate appearances.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Hits IL with groin strain
The Mariners placed Donovan on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left groin muscle strain, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Donovan had already been left out of the starting nine for a second straight game Sunday against the Padres, but he'll now wind up being shelved until at least May 26 while he tends to an aggravation of the injury that previously sent him to the IL back on April 20. In a corresponding move, the Mariners called up top prospect Colt Emerson from Triple-A Tacoma. Emerson will start at third base Sunday in his MLB debut and should serve as the top option at the position while Donovan is on the shelf.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: IL bound with oblique strain
Manager Joe Espada announced after Sunday's loss to the Rangers that Altuve was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left oblique strain and will be placed on the injured list, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Espada didn't offer an official return timeline, but the veteran second baseman seems likely to be sidelined for at least a month given the severity of the strain. Brice Matthews picked up a start at second base Sunday for Houston, but Braden Shewmake and Shay Whitcomb are also likely to be factors at the keystone while Altuve is out.

Vaughn Grissom 1B | LAA
Angels' Vaughn Grissom: Hitting bench Sunday
Grissom is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Grissom started the previous seven games and will hit the bench after going 5-for-27 with a double and a homer during that span. Adam Frazier will step in at the keystone and bat ninth in Sunday's series finale.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Remaining on bench Sunday
Donovan (undisclosed) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Donovan was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to what the Mariners labeled a "load-management decision," and he finds himself on the bench for a second straight game Sunday. The 29-year-old has gone 6-for-28 with two extra-base hits in seven contests since coming back from a groin strain in early May. According to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times, manager Dan Wilson said Donovan could be available off the bench Sunday, depending how he is feeling during his pregame work.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Receiving break Sunday
Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
There's been no indication he's injured, so it's likely just a maintenance day for Marte after he started the previous seven games. Ildemaro Vargas will shift to the keystone while Jose Fernandez picks up a start at first base.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Absent from lineup Sunday
Altuve (side) isn't in Houston's starting lineup Sunday against Texas.
It's not a surprise that Altuve isn't starting after he exited Saturday's matchup in the ninth inning with a left side injury. The star second baseman is slated to have an MRI taken Sunday, but GM Dana Brown said the "early signs" are that Altuve is dealing with an oblique injury, per Chandler Rome of The Athletic. Brice Matthews is starting at second base for the Astros on Sunday.

Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL
Braves' Ha-Seong Kim: Taking seat Sunday
Kim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Kim started the past four games after being reinstated from the injured list Monday, and he'll receive a break after collecting just one hit in his first 18 plate appearances of the season. Jorge Mateo will take over at shortstop in the series finale versus Boston.
