Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Rips ninth-inning homer
Stott went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in Monday's loss to the Mets.
Stott was 1-for-4 with a single before hammering a clutch three-run shot off of Edwin Diaz in the ninth inning. However, it wasn't enough to complete the comeback and the Phillies fell 5-4. Stott snapped a 17-game homerless drought with his second of the year. He's slashing .295/.356/.449 with 13 RBI and seven extra-base hits through 20 games.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Productive from leadoff spot
Torres went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Monday's 6-4 win over the Padres.
Batting leadoff, Torres helped set the table for the Tigers, and he pushed his batting average above .300 in the process. The infielder has exclusively batted first or second through 11 appearances this year, and if he keeps getting on base at a healthy clip, Torres could be in line for a big offensive season, particularly when it comes to runs.

Peyton Stovall 2B | CIN
Reds' Peyton Stovall: Back in action
Stovall (hamstring) is 4-for-13 with two RBI, one stolen base and four runs scored in four games at High-A Dayton this season.
Stovall was held back to participate in extended spring training after suffering a hamstring injury this spring, but he's returned to full strength and has been sent out to begin his 2025 minor-league campaign with the Dragons. He's been able to get on base at will so far, drawing six walks in four matchups.

Blaze Alexander SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Activated and optioned
The Diamondbacks activated Alexander (oblique/hip) from the 10-day injured list Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Reno.
Alexander initially went on the IL to begin the season due to an oblique strain and more recently suffered a hip injury on his rehab assignment. He's recovered from both injuries now but will remain at Reno rather than join the major-league club.

David Villar 1B | SF
Giants' David Villar: Makes first appearance of 2025
Villar went 1-for-4 with a run scored during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Angels.
The 28-year-old infielder made his first appearance of the season, joining the 26-man roster after Casey Schmitt (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Villar lined a two-out single into left field in the sixth frame before coming around to score on a two-run homer by Sam Huff. Villar played in 15 games at Triple-A Sacramento before joining the active roster, slashing .368/.439/.439 with eight runs scored, seven RBI, a home run and an 8:13 BB:K across 66 plate appearances.

Frazier extended his hitting streak to five games when he delivered a two-RBI double in the ninth inning. Even with the solid showing, Frazier is hitting only .209 this season with a .090 ISO across 71 plate appearances.

Tyler Fitzgerald CF | SF
Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Swipes bag Sunday
Fitzgerald went 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
Fitzgerald capped off his excellent week by reaching base three times and swiping his fifth bag of the year. It was only the second time in his career he's taken multiple walks in a game, and he had just three walks in 18 games coming into Sunday. Fitzgerald has been surging at the plate and is batting .400 over his last 10 games with five extra-base hits, six RBI and seven runs.

Rockies' Kyle Farmer: On bench for nightcap
Farmer is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader with the Nationals.
Farmer will take a seat after he went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the team's 3-2 loss in Game 1 on Sunday. Aaron Schunk will take over at shortstop and bat ninth in Game 2 versus Washington.

The second baseman drew a walk and stole second base again in the second inning and scored on a double from Jackson Chourio. Turang later added another single and a sacrifice fly to round out his day.
