Tomlinson was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Alec Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The Giants opted to bring closer Mark Melancon back from the disabled list Wednesday, leaving no room in the big leagues for Tomlinson. He collected just six hits during his 15-game stint in the big league, but his previous major-league experience and infield versatility could help him get back to San Francisco whenever more infield depth is needed.

Forsythe (toe) will play in another rehab game Wednesday night and be re-evaluated afterward, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Forsythe has encountered a couple hiccups during his rehab assignment, but it seems like a return is coming soon. A firm date for his return should come forth after his upcoming game, although things seem to be trending toward him getting back to work this weekend.

Albies went 3-for-3 with two walks, a home run, three runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Triple-A Gwinnett's win over Norfolk on Tuesday.

After a rough stretch in late April and early May the 20-year-old has begun to heat up again, hitting .316 (12-for-38) over his last 10 games. More impressively, Triple-A catchers are having no luck containing him on the basepaths, as Albies has stolen a base in four straight games and now has 13 steals on 14 attempts through 36 games. The Braves' No. 3 prospect stole 30 bases across two levels last year and 29 bases in 2015 for Low-A Rome, but he seems intent on blowing past those marks this season with Gwinnett.

Torres went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a game Tuesday with Double-A Trenton.

Torres has connected on homers in back-to-back games and has collected 12 extra-base hits in just 101 at-bats to bring his OPS up to .849 on the campaign. Despite missing some time in April with right shoulder inflammation, the 20-year-old hasn't seemed to experience any issues with getting dialed back in at the dish.

Frazier went 2-for-5 with an RBI single Tuesday against the Nationals.

He has six hits in 16 at-bats since returning from a hamstring injury. Frazier has batted leadoff and played left field in each of his three starts and also saw time in center field Tuesday. With a .323 batting average in 65 at-bats, Frazier is the only regular hitting better than .300.

Dubon, 22, is slashing .305/.355/.390 across 170 plate appearances with Double-A Biloxi this season.

With only nine extra-base hits on the season, the six-foot, 160-pound Dubon has yet to tap into much power, but the shortstop is excelling in just about every other phase of the game. He's batting .367 in May and leads the Southern League with 47 hits and 21 bases on the campaign. In a deep Brewers farm system, Dubon seems to have cemented himself as the top middle-infield prospect in the upper minors, but there's little incentive to rush him to the big leagues with Jonathan Villar and Orlando Arcia representing a capable up-the-middle tandem for Milwaukee.

Altuve went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and three RBI during Monday's win over Miami.

Altuve was hit by a pitch on his hand in the top of the first inning, so it was encouraging to see him still have a productive game. The home run was his third of the month, and he's now up to six homers, 18 RBI, nine stolen bases and 24 runs with a .292/.364/.458 slash line for the season.

Rosario is not being considered for a call-up despite the thumb injury suffered by Mets starting shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.

Rosario is raking at Triple-A Las Vegas, as he owns a .359/.401/.493 batting line with 14 extra-base hits. Don't expect Rosario to be called up to New York until June at the earliest, as the Mets clearly want to limit his service time in order to keep him under team control for as long as possible.

Herrera is hitting just .231/.278/.359 with three homers in 129 plate appearances at Triple-A Louisville. He's also 0-for-3 in stolen base attempts.

As much as Jose Peraza has struggled, Herrera has done nothing to convince the Reds to promote him. In fact, Scooter Gennett is a far greater threat to Peraza's playing time than Herrera.

Solarte is not in the lineup Monday against the Brewers.

Solarte will head to the bench for the first time all season as Cory Spangenberg draws the start at second base in his stead. The 29-year-old is slashing .237/.316/.338 through 39 games this season.
