  • Jorge Polanco DH | NYM

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Breaks out with three hits

Polanco went 3-for-5 with a double, walk and a run scored Saturday in the Twins' 12-7 win over the Rangers.

Polanco entered the day slashing just .224/.308/.310 in August, so fantasy managers had to be heartened by him reaching base four times while pounding out three hits. He'll be in the lineup again Sunday for the series finale, playing shortstop and batting third.

  • Forrest Wall LF | SD

Blue Jays' Forrest Wall: Promoted to Triple-A

Wall was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Wall hit .270 with 27 doubles, nine home runs, 13 steals (on 21 attempts) and a 109:49 K:BB in 109 games at Double-A. He is not on the 40-man roster, so it is unlikely that he makes his big-league debut until 2020.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Moves rehab to High-A

Lowe (lower leg) went 0-for-3 with a walk while logging six innings at second base in HIgh-A Charlotte's win over St. Lucie on Saturday.

It was Lowe's first of two scheduled games with the Stone Crabs after he made the first two appearances of his assignment with the Gulf Coast League Rays. Lowe is slated to be reevaluated Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports, at which point he's likely to head to Triple-A Durham to continue his rehab.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Still out Sunday

Marte (back) is not in Sunday's lineup against the Giants.

He will miss a second game in a row with lower-back tightness. Marte was available off the bench Saturday, which suggests he could be nearing a return. Wilmer Flores will start at second base against southpaw Madison Bumgarner.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Likely to be activated Tuesday

Hernandez is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Hernandez began a rehab assignment in the Arizona League on Friday, so a Tuesday activation would give him at least one more game to sharpen his skills before rejoining the Dodgers. The utility man has been out since July 29 with a sprained left hand.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Yankees' Thairo Estrada: Joins ever-growing IL

The Yankees placed Estrada on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right hamstring strain.

Tyler Wade was summoned from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move while Estrada becomes the 28th different Yankees player to land on the IL this season. After being called up from Triple-A earlier in the week, Estrada appeared in three games with New York, going hitless across seven at-bats. He'll be eligible to return from the IL on Aug. 28, but the Yankees could elect to wait until the roster expands Sept. 1 before bringing him back, health permitting.

  • Luis Urias 2B | TOR

Padres' Luis Urias: Moves back down in order

Urias will start at shortstop and bat eighth Saturday against the Phillies.

Urias slotted into the leadoff spot for Friday's game -- the first game following Fernando Tatis Jr.'s back injury -- and Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune described that lineup as "the new normal." However, Urias went hitless in the series opener, and he now finds himself back at the bottom of the order, with Manuel Margot leading off. Perhaps manager Andy Green decided he doesn't want to put too much pressure on Urias' bat.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Available off bench

Marte was scratched from Saturday's lineup with lower-back tightness, but he will be available off the bench and is expected back in the lineup Sunday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

It sounds like Marte's scratch was largely precautionary, as manager Torey Lovullo said he expects to have him back for the series finale. Marte hasn't slowed down in the second half, hitting .347/.440/.595 with five homers and four steals since the break. He was replaced in Saturday's lineup by Wilmer Flores.

  • Isan Diaz 2B | DET

Marlins' Isan Diaz: Heads to bench Saturday

Diaz is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

This is a tough break for those who started Diaz this weekend hoping for three games at Coors Field. Diaz went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the series opener and is now batting .179 (7-for-39) in 10 games since homering in his big-league debut. Starlin Castro will shift back to second base to cover for Diaz, opening up third base for Neil Walker.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Scratched from lineup

Marte was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Giants.

Wilmer Flores will replace Marte both at second base and in the two hole in the batting order. A reason for Marte's scratch has not yet been provided.
