Torres is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Gio Urshela starts at third base while DJ LeMahieu slides over to second base for the matinee. Torres should be back in the fold for Game 2.

McNeil is not in Thursday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

McNeil has been one of the Mets' best hitters all season and that has continued into September. He is hitting .317 with four home runs and one steal in 41 at-bats this month. Todd Frazier will start at third base and hit sixth.

Polanco went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Nationals.

Polanco provided the Twins with their only runs of the night with his 412-foot blast during the third inning. The 26-year-old was 2-for-16 entering the series against Washington, but he's 3-for-9 with a double, a home run and four RBI heading into Thursday's series finale.

Diaz went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's loss to Milwaukee.

Diaz drove in two runs for the second consecutive game and evened the contest at 5-5 with Wednesday's 425-foot blast, but the offense went silent over the final four frames. The 23-year-old has largely struggled during his first month in the majors with a .162/.267/.265 slash line in 33 games, but he's looked a bit more comfortable in the last couple games.

McNeil went 3-for-4 a double, two home runs, three RBI, a stolen base and three runs scored overall Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.

McNeil packed the stat sheet, slugging his 19th and 20th home runs of the season. He also chipped in his 35th double and fifth stolen base for the campaign, adding to his impressive breakout season. The 27-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down at the plate as the season comes to a close, recording four multi-RBI games in his past nine starts. For the campaign, he owns an impressive .325/.394/.536 line across 513 plate appearances.

Rengifo is not starting Wednesday against Cleveland.

Rengifo hits the bench after starting six straight contests, a stretch in which he went just 3-for-21 at the plate. David Fletcher slides to second base in his absence, with Matt Thaiss starting at third.

Rojas will sit Wednesday against the Mets.

Rojas hits the bench after starting 11 straight games, a stretch in which he recorded a strong .308/.400/.538 slash line. Tim Locastro gets the nod in left field.

Forsythe (intercostal) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Rays.

He was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with left intercostal tightness. As a part-time player, his absence doesn't necessarily mean he is unavailable in Wednesday's contest.

Lux is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.

He was supposed to sit Tuesday but was a late add after Justin Turner (ankle) was scratched. After getting added to the starting nine he proceeded to go 3-for-4 with his first big-league home run, and is now hitting .250/.333/.458 in his first 24 at-bats. Enrique Hernandez starts at the keystone with lefty John Means on the hill for Baltimore.

Semien went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs overall in Tuesday's rout of the Astros.

Semien did all his damage in just six innings before being replaced with the Athletics up 20-3. He singled and scored in the first inning, hit a two-run homer in the fourth and added an RBI double in the fifth. The shortstop now owns a .400/.486/.800 slash line over his last eight games, scoring nine times and driving in seven runs.
