Brujan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run in a win over Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.

While teammate Wander Franco has stolen the headlines over the Bulls' first two games of the season, Brujan -- a highly regarded prospect in his own right -- has gotten off to just as hot a start. Wednesday's production pushed Brujan's tally at the plate to 4-for-8 over his first two games, and early indications are that he's capable of thriving against a higher caliber of arms after finishing his last minor-league campaign at Double-A Montgomery back in 2019.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's win over the Angels.

Hits were hard to come across for the Rays in the contest , but Lowe supplied all the offense the team needed with a three-run blast off reliever Junior Guerra in the seventh inning. The homer was Lowe's fifth this season and pushed his RBI total to 14. He is batting only .193 overall but has reached base in eight of his past nine games.

Arroyo had X-rays come back negative on his left hand and was diagnosed with a bruise after leaving Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

It's the second time in the past couple weeks the 25-year-old has been hit by a pitch on the left hand. Arroyo appears to have avoided a serious injury but isn't expected to play in Thursday's series finale, per Bill Koch of The Providence Journal.

Kim will start at third base and bat seventh Wednesday against the Pirates.

Kim will pick up his third start in as many days, with all coming at different positions. The Padres have given maintenance days to Jake Cronenworth, Fernando Tatis and now Manny Machado to open up the at-bats for Kim, but the rookie's path to a full-time role with the big club remains blocked. With a .214/.274/.281 slash line through his first 62 plate appearances in the majors, Kim looks like he could still use some fine tuning at Triple-A El Paso.

Rosario isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Rosario will get a breather after he struck out in each of his four at-bats Tuesday. Harold Ramirez will start in center field and bat seventh.

Urias isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Urias will get a breather after he struck out five times across the last two games. Pablo Reyes will start at shortstop and bat seventh.

Rojas isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Rojas has gone 8-for-19 with four home runs, a double, seven runs and six RBI across the last five games. However, Pavin Smith will shift to right field while Tim Locastro starts in center.

Mathias announced via his personal Twitter account that he underwent season-ending surgery on his right shoulder Tuesday.

Mathias was initially hopeful to avoid surgery when he tore his labrum in spring training, but he ultimately reversed course after failing to progress as expected over the past six weeks. Even before the shoulder injury surfaced, the 26-year-old utility man was considered a borderline candidate to make the Brewers' Opening Day club, so he could be at risk of being non-tendered this winter.

Marte (hamstring) will begin taking at-bats during games at Arizona's alternate site, NIck Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

The plan is to have Marte lightly jog out of the batter's box before ramping up his intensity. Manager Torey Lovullo did not have an update on where Marte was in his running progression.

Torres went 0-for-2 with three walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Astros.

While the 24-year-old wasn't able to extend his five-game hitting streak, he did reach base for the ninth straight game. Torres is putting his sluggish start to the season behind him, and while he's still looking for his first homer of the year, he's now slashing .240/.345/.290 with two steals, seven RBI and nine runs through 27 contests.
