Castro is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.

Castro will remain on the bench for the second straight contest, after having previously made four consecutive starts heading into Sunday. Now that Niko Goodrum is back from the injured list and ready to assume an everyday role at shortstop, Castro looks poised to settle into a utility role that will afford him only a handful of starts per week.

Hernandez (illness) rejoined the Red Sox on Monday and could be activated from the COVID-19 injured list as soon as Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Both Hernandez and relief pitcher Josh Taylor were cleared to join the team after completing quarantine periods upon landing on the COVID-19 injured list about a week and a half ago. Taylor could be activated from the IL ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Rays, but Hernandez will have to wait at least one more day to make his return to the lineup. Hernandez was able to complete a workout Monday, signaling that he's feeling well physically following his quarantine.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Monday's game at Boston, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rays manager Kevin Cash will extend a rest to lefty-hitting regulars in Lowe, Joey Wendle and Kevin Kiermaier with a tough southpaw in Chris Sale on the mound for Boston. Taylor Walls will cover the keystone in place of Lowe, who went 4-for-11 with two home runs and three RBI while starting in all three of the Rays' games with Minnesota over the weekend.

Albies went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Rockies.

Albies' only hit came on the first pitch of the day, taking Ryan Feltner deep to right to open up the game. The 24-year-old has homered in three straight games and four of his last six, a run similar to the one he had in August when he had five home runs in six games. Albies has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games and is now slashing .260/.316/.495 with 26 homers, 89 RBI, 86 runs scored, 17 steals and 42:106 BB:K over 576 plate appearances.

Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two steals and a run scored in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Angels.

Hernandez, who returned to the lineup after sitting against a lefty Saturday, has sat the last three times Texas faced a southpaw. The two steals give him six in 22 games after stealing 21 in 61 games at Triple-A Round Rock. He could provide a late-season, unexpected boost in that category. With Nick Solak blocking him at second base, Hernandez will fight for playing time at third base along with Charlie Culberson until Andy Ibanez (hamstring) is ready to roll.

Rojas went 1-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 10-4 loss to the Mariners.

The two runs give Rojas 60 for the season, second on the team behind Pavin Smith. He filled in at shortstop for the resting Nick Ahmed on Sunday, the 29th start at the position for Rojas, who will continue to move around the diamond through the rest of the season. He's also been deployed at second base and both corner outfield spots. Rojas has established himself as a piece for the 2022 iteration of the Diamondbacks, though it's unclear if he'll continue to be deployed as a utility guy or given a stable home. He entered MLB as a second baseman primarily.

Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 11-5 win over Boston.

The 23-year-old has recorded a stolen base in each of the last three games, and he's up to 10 for the year. Gimenez has also hit safely in eight of his last 10 contests dating back to Aug. 20, going 9-for-29 (.310) in that span. He's starting to find more success, but his season slash line is still at .206/.279/.313 through 148 plate appearances. The infielder has seen regular playing time lately, but he hasn't often hit above ninth in the order.

Lopez went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-0 win over the White Sox.

The shortstop went 4-for-12 with four runs scored in the three-game series versus the White Sox this weekend. Lopez is up to 19 stolen bases without getting caught this year. He's added a solid .291/.362/.362 slash line in 449 plate appearances, serving mainly as a contact hitter while earning a starting gig at shortstop even with Adalberto Mondesi back from the injured list and playing at third base.

Semien went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a hit by pitch in Sunday's 8-0 win over Oakland.

The infielder recorded only three hits in 13 at-bats against his former team during the weekend series, but two of those knocks landed beyond the fence. Semien has enjoyed a career-best year in the power department with 35 homers and a .530 slugging percentage through 601 plate appearances. He's added 82 RBI and 95 runs scored while matching his career high in stolen bases with 14.

Lowe went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 6-5 loss to Minnesota.

Lowe put the Rays on the board with his two-run shot off Griffin Jax in the third inning. It was his 33rd long ball of the year and second of the weekend. Since the start of August, the 27-year-old has gone 32-for-123 (.260) with 11 homers and 29 RBI. Lowe is slashing .233/.335/.503 with 58 extra-base hits and 81 RBI on the year.
