Nick Gonzales 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Leaves with injury
Gonzales exited Tuesday's game with Double-A Altoona with an apparent leg injury, Jarrod Prugar of DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.
Gonzales entered Tuesday's matchup against Bowie with a .935 OPS over his past 16 games, but he was forced from the contest after going 0-for-2 with a walk. It's unclear if the 22-year-old will require a stint on the injured list, so for now he should be considered day-to-day.

Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Dealing with back stiffness
Gorman was held out of Tuesday's lineup against the Padres due to lower-back stiffness, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
It appeared to be a regular day off for Gorman with a left-handed pitcher on the mound, but he also wasn't available off the bench due to the back issue. The 22-year-old dealt with a similar issue during spring training that sidelined him for a couple days, though the injury is apparently less severe this time around. Gorman should be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale versus San Diego.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Mariners' Adam Frazier: Two hits, two runs Tuesday
Frazier went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs in the victory over the Orioles on Tuesday.
Frazier doubled and scored in the second inning before adding a single and scoring again in the following frame. The multi-hit effort extended Frazier's hit streak to five games -- he's gone 6-for-21 over those contests. He's now secured at least one hit in seven of his last eight games after going three straight without a base knock.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Good to go Tuesday
Altuve (head) is starting at second base and batting leadoff Tuesday against the A's.
The 31-year-old was evaluated for a concussion after a collision at first base during Monday's contest, but he apparently cleared the concussion protocols and is in the lineup Tuesday. Altuve has hit .350/.366/.600 with two home runs, four doubles, three RBI and six runs over his past 10 games.
-
Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Pirates' Michael Chavis: Back in action Tuesday
Chavis (forearm) is starting at first base and batting third Tuesday against the Dodgers, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Chavis sat out the past three games after exiting Friday's contest with left forearm discomfort, but he'll return to the starting nine Tuesday. The 26-year-old has a .751 OPS through 22 games in May and should continue to see plenty of playing time at first base with Yoshi Tsutsugo (back) on the injured list.

Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM
Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Losing work to Josh Smith
Ibanez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.
The righty-hitting Ibanez has the platoon advantage in his favor with southpaw Ryan Yarbrough on the mound, but it won't be enough to keep him off the bench for the second game in a row. Instead, rookie Josh Smith will draw another start at the hot corner after going 3-for-4 with two runs in his MLB debut in Monday's 9-5 win. Ibanez looks like he'll have to settle for a utility gig with the Rangers presumably prepared to give Smith a trial as their everyday third baseman.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Not starting Tuesday
Rodgers will sit Tuesday against Miami, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Rodgers sits after starting 16 of the last 17 games at second base. He grabbed at least one hit in every game he appeared in over that stretch, slashing .365/.412/.492. Garrett Hampson will take over at the keystone Tuesday.
-
Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Picks up fourth straight start
Guillorme will start at second base and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the Nationals.
Though Mark Canha will get a look out of leadoff spot after the lefty-hitting Guillorme sat atop the lineup for each of the previous four contests, the latter player will still stick in the starting nine even with a southpaw (Patrick Corbin) taking the hill for Washington. Guillorme, who went 7-for-12 with a double, two walks, six runs and an RBI over that three-game stretch, could see more opportunities going forward after the Mets optioned Dominic Smith to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
-
Luis Rengifo LF | SD
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Getting regular work at keystone
Rengifo will start at second base and bat fifth in Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
He'll be included in the lineup for the 12th game in a row and may have supplanted Tyler Wade as the Angels' preferred option at the keystone even once Anthony Rendon (wrist) returns from the injured list and Wade no longer has a path to playing time at third base. While starting the previous 11 contests, Rengifo has slashed .295/.340/.409 with a home run and a stolen base.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Day off Tuesday
Marte will sit Tuesday against Atlanta.
Marte owns a 12-game hitting streak, a stretch in which he's slashed .383/.408/.489. He'll get a rest Tuesday as Jake Hager takes over at second base.
