Padres' Brandon Drury: Placed on concussion IL

Yonny Hernandez 2B | NYM
Diamondbacks' Yonny Hernandez: Shut down with calf strain
The Diamondbacks recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Reno and placed him on the 60-day injured list Monday with a strained left calf.
Hernandez last played for Reno since Aug. 17 before being placed on the affiliate's 7-day injured list less than a week later, presumably due to the calf strain. Though he now resides on the big club's IL, his placement on the 60-day IL rather than the 10-day IL will officially rule him out for the remainder of the 2022 campaign. Hernandez appeared in 12 games for Arizona earlier in the season but otherwise saw his most extensive action at Reno, where he produced a .244/.353/.328 slash line to go with 30 stolen bases over 295 plate appearances before being shut down with the injury.

Padres' Brandon Drury: Remains on bench Monday
Drury (head) isn't starting Monday against the Diamondbacks, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Retreats to bench
Donovan is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
The lefty-hitting Donovan will sit for the third time in five games, this time against a right-handed pitcher (Anibal Sanchez) after his previous two absences came when the opposition brought southpaws to the mound. Donovan still appears to have the edge on a regular spot in the lineup at second base or designated hitter versus right-handed pitching, but he'll give way to the hot-hitting Albert Pujols on Monday.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Expects to be fine
India (knee) said after Sunday's win over the Rockies that he expects to be fine, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
India was removed from the second game of Sunday's doubleheader after fouling a pitch off his knee in the fifth inning. However, manager David Bell said after the game that India wanted to stay in the game and was ultimately removed as a precautionary measure. The 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Cubs.

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Tallies 50th RBI
McNeil went 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Nationals.

The total is the second baseman's highest RBI count since his breakout campaign in 2019. Additionally, his two hits on the day add to a 20-game stretch in which he has hit .382 with eight extra-base hits, all of which have been doubles.

Drury (head) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Drury will take a seat for the second game in a row while he recovers from a head contusion, which stems from being hit by a pitch in Friday's 7-1 win. His absence from the lineup opens up a spot at first base for Wil Myers.
